Suzuki GSX S1000 GX "First impression"

Hi, I'm from Brazil and I live here in Brazil. That motorcycle is coming next year. I'm glad the way you talk, because most of the guys talk like they are in a hurry or competition, and it's hard to understand what they are saying. You talk in a good rhythm. Probably I'll buy one. Nowadays I have a BMW GS 1250 , until 56 years old I ride sports bike and now I'm 67 years, and I'm missing the 4 cylinders... Thanks for your opinion!

Antonio, I appreciate your comment. I just sold my r1250gs because I wanted to get something a little bit lighter and a little bit more sporty especially sporty-looking. I want to be excited when I come out and see my bike. I loved the gs, it is one of the best bikes ever. But I was ready for a change like I usually am every few years

Antonio, by the way I'm 52 years old and stopped writing sport bikes in 2015 when I rode my first R 1200 GS and GSA. Because of the physical business I've been in for my entire adult life I have inflammation and soreness very easily and I like to do longer rides every weekend. Sportbikes were unbelievably awesome but I can't be in that position for hardly any time. I think the GX is going to be an awesome in between

That is a very good looking bike,and would be a great upgrade from my Bandit,but having just recently having a 45 minute test ride on the new Africa twin (standard manual) I was blown away on how comfortable it was. Great video Murt.👍🏻

Great review!!! I think this will be the bike for me to run around Las Vegas. SO many new bikes are punishing their owners with excessive engine heat, but I haven't heard a single report of this bike having heat management problems. Did you notice anything? Thank you~

@@jmsmikey thank you very much. Much appreciated. The engine on the GSX is a well tested and proven lump. Water cooled so I shouldn’t have thought you would have any overheating issues. 😁👍

Well the mirrors do shake a little at around120km/h, but it's still my first day of testing. Maybe it depends on what gear you reach that speed?

Interesting first thoughts 👍This bike should really interest me, sporty, touring, suits taller person and Japanese reliability. But... I've sat on this bike and that seat is too narrow for all day comfort. Narrowed down so shorter riders can reach the floor Finally, is a 12K redline sportsbike engine conducive with relaxed touring? I would imagine you need to rev the thing to experience the best out of that engine. Think it's why BMW sell so many GS's..... low end grunt. Sorry but still not keen on those Suzuki stacked headlights.

I found the engine very laid back and had no issues riding it on the small roads. And you know what I ride. However I tend to agree with you on the lighting issue. If it’s just a styling exercise then what’s the point if they are no good at night. Thank you as always Richard take care. 😁👍

Hmmm the lights! On my opinion it is just different than what we are used to ride with. The beam stays a little at the horizontal point, kinda square ⬛ on the road. But as I am wearing spectacles it does not bother me. Same on the vstrom 800de. At least you will be seen during the day. 'Will try it at a real dark night to let you know. Ride safe!
