I'd love to get one of these to sit alongside my GSX-R750 in the garage.

I love the fact that the Yoshi doesn't detract too much from the glorious intake noise

I agree, the Yoshi has a nice balance of good sounding tone without being obnoxiously loud.

Bought one over the winter, first i4, and finally got a chance to put some miles on it - it is everything you say - such a precise machine - throttle, clutch gearbox, suspension - seems there's nothing to ride around - with the clear view ahead it disappears under you (except for that lovely sound). If you ask it to do something and you do it right, it will respond, and if you screw it up, it won't get tied in knots. I think this thing is a joy to ride.

Hey Jon, finally a logic and down to earth review of this bike! Fully agree with your analysis and conclusions. I also have the exact same bike with a Yoshimura R11, best bike I ever had 😊. Fully capable on all conditions, and it does not bit you without warning. For me this bike is on a rack of its own… but if we had to compare it, it would be with MT-07’s and CB650’s as you mentioned. Great video! Cheers

Hey.. This is the last "sevenfifty" produced by any japanese company! I got the last year produced (2021) and i got it in the good color (like video). This bike is gold, and it is going to appreciate in value going forward... I would lecture you ,on the UJM but suffice to say, this is the last 750 (see CB 750 from 1969) ;-)

Hi Brian, it sounds like you got a nice one! I currently have 10+ UJMs in the garage, so no need to lecture me on the merits of the UJM 🙂. Check out the other videos on this channel - lots of classic and modern UJMs are featured. Cheers!

Nice review and also appreciate your service videos. I bought the GSX S bit over a month ago. Same color as you, also got sliders, tail tidy and waiting for my Yoshimura AT2 to arrive. Managed to put 4000km in the first month and also managed to eat through the rear tire in that time, which is bit of a surprise to me (using manufacturers pressure). And just as you are saying, I have a couple of seasons on a dirt bike, years of downhill mountain biking experience and I am glad that I have picked the 750 as the power of it seems perfect to me and I would be probably bored soon with SV650 or MT07. The push this bikes gives you over 8000rpm is amazing and really addictive together with the sound.

Awesome, I'm glad you like the videos and are enjoying the GSX-S750! You may want to try a sport-touring tire for longer wear. They're fine on the street in all but the most aggressive riding, which you should save for the track regardless.
@KapitanPisoar1 Жыл бұрын
@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 Yes I need to do some research before installing full set, now I am just gonna replace the rear with the same type. I might try the S22 as they should wear slower. Not sure about the sport touring as I don't want to give up much of the grip as I like to ride bit aggressive and planning to track the bike as well. Well I wish you a lot of happy miles! Btw. I just installed the AT2 couple of minutes ago and it sounds amazing!

This bike is in the z900/mt09 class not the 650, also a bit much for a new rider. Tame from 7k and below but it explodes 7k to redline like a proper sport bike. Really is an amazing all rounder and best in class handling IMO especially for the prices you can buy them at--- a lot of these sport nakeds are just sporty naked bikes where as this is a proper sport bike cosplaying as a naked bike.
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35382 жыл бұрын
It's closer in engine size to the MT07, CBR650, Ninja 650, etc. Regardless of whether it's the overdog of one class or underdog of another, I agree with you that it's a very capable sporting naked. 🙂
@englishsteel-nz6im2 жыл бұрын
@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 yeah but it's an I4 supersport derived engine, puts out 113 hp compared to the 70 hp 650 twins. Way more aggressive in all areas.

What fender eliminator do you have? Thinking of picking up the 2022 750z and just wondering what your thoughts are now a few years later?
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 Жыл бұрын
I don't know what brand of fender eliminator is on the bike - it was on when I bought it. They're still nice bikes - easy to ride, plenty of performance on-tap, reliable - pretty much what I said in the review. There are several bikes that compete with this one and it's up to you to decide what your taste and priorities are in a bike. Cheers!

Hey Nice review The 750 has a great reputation Was wondering, what height are you ? Also, was foot peg position comfortable for you ?
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35382 жыл бұрын
I'm tall 6'-4". Footpeg position didn't bother me as much as the firm seat so I didn't really notice them being uncomfortable.
