I've had one of these for just over a year now and still believe these are massively underrated bikes for the cash. It's a do it all bike with a seriously addictive engine note when you ring it's neck. I was considering swapping it next year for a bigger 4 cylinder bike but I honestly think I'll just keep this and enjoy it for a few more years.
@langhamp89127 ай бұрын
I had its bigger brother but I sold it for a much smaller bike. With the GSXS1000, there's no place except the track where you can wring its neck. Most bikes I've owned you can rev above 7K in 2nd to 4th gear, but on the 1000 2nd gear is above 90 mph. I will say the components, frame, swingarm, and all that are of much higher quality than the GSXS750, and that alone might make it a better bike worth owning.

I bought one of these as my second bike 6 months ago, 3000 miles in and its been bloody brilliant. At the minute I wouldn't trade it for anything, does everything I need from commuting to blasting down the lanes on a Sunday. Brilliant bike. Bought this one in May last year as my first ever own bike. I've been riding a Honda CB125F for 1,5 seasons before and did my driving lessons on a Kawasaki Z650 - both of the bikes felt ridiculously small for me so when I was looking for the first bike this beauty instantly caught my attention. There was also a Kawasaki Z900 available but I felt it's a bit too much for me. Man, I'm having SO MUCH fun with this bike, it's ridiculously easy to ride, very comfortably flat-footing it (I'm 176 cm tall), it's absolutely lovely with the torque meaning - it doesn't "jump" at all with it's 4 cylinders... I just love it, I strongly believe it's WAY underrated. And I agree with you - it's a bit sporty position so yea... a stop to stretch is definitely nice ;) And when it comes to styling of Suzuki vs Kawasaki... well I just love the blue Suzukis (and my wife is the green-Kawasaki junkie, so we can switch the machines xD). One last piece of info about the GSX-750 for all interested: till about 6500-7000 RPM it's just quite fast, it's when you go above those revs it becomes FAST - you kinda feel bottom slightly slide back on the seat xD ... But when I rewatch your review of the GSX-S1000 GT I just drool over my desk - this is definitely my dream machine now. Love the vid, cheers from a subscriber from Poland mate!

I have this bike since middle of 2020 and absolutely love it. I think your review nails it with regards to pretty much everything. The power band, the steering, the brakes and the sound... I loved that growling and singing from the first test drive and I still get a silly smile and laugh when I hear it from way down in the rpm to the limiter... :D Two things where I "disagree" a bit or at least would like to add to. 1. The stuff you are missing like quickshifter etc. Yes, that would be nice, but it would also add cost. As it is, I believe you get incredible value for money with this bike versus the competition. 2. I had VFR800 1999 before the gixxes and I am actually more comfortable on the Suzuki than I was on the Honda. Especially with my older knees for some weird reason, but also wrists and arms. I have spend many days with 6+ hours in the saddle, which need to be ridden in (if you can say that in English?). The first month or two I got a sore behind after a couple of hours, but since then no issues. PS. I am 50 years old and have been on motorcycles since I was 17'ish with a few years break here and there. PPS. I bought a special edition "GSX-S750 Yoshimura edition +", which I fell in love with at once :)

I used to own a 1998 VFR800 in yellow, amazing bike but actually quite a sporty tourer. Not the comfiest. It seems they've listened as the GSX-S950 replaces this now, which has a few more toys and one of the best quickshifters out there. Ride safe and thanks for watching!

I like the dash and the looks. What more do you need to know when you're riding? You get all the info that's relevant. There are some things, I'd like them change. Give it LED lights & indicators. Drop the weight to below 210kg although I didn't find the weight being an issue after riding a 650 Bandit for a couple of years. Give a couple of millimeters of extra room for the rider (backwards). I kept hitting my lower back on the rear seat. (186 cm tall). Give it a better side stand. Oh, and also increase the rev limit by 250 RPMs so you could listen to the howl for a bit longer. I kept hitting the limiter way too often on my test ride a couple years back. Quickshifter up & down would of course be fantastic. The brakes and the sounds were the highlights for me. Finally Suzuki gave proper brakes after using the same crap Tokicos for an eternity. Riding modes are (in my opinion) completely pointless at this power level. Especially for inline 4s. Pretty hard to spin the tire unless you want to.

Ninja 650: city ride and weekend with 50:50 3. S750: more of weekend touring with short city ride. NOT that S750 is bad for the city ride by any means, but there are many bikes which are better suited for it. I wish the bike was a bit lighter which will be hard with the inline 4. I am horrified that the bean counters at Suzuki think it’s a good idea to neuter a bike enough, so they can make an even more neutered version of it that is A2 compliant. I have test ridden four now but can not quite commit. Old styling, Casio clock, Euro 4 and the wind is worse that other naked bikes. The price is the same as the 650s here Stg7,140.. The test rides have also left me smiling too. Same reason. And smooth and easy to ride in town. The option is to spend a bunch more cash for a Street Triple R. But the GSX still makes me smile. Like your review.

@@Englishbikerdan On the market again, a car took out the Street Triple. Suzi has dropped these another Stg500. The GSX 8S is coming here soon. All the tech but not the same top end. The GSX S750 still makes me smile...

I feel like this bike with a windshield and a rack on the back could be used for touring, sort of like a gsxs750gt.

I loved my 96’ ZX750RR! Best stunt bike for a big person like myself. I used to come through town throw it up on a stop-e then without putting my feat down come to a complete stop, then wheelie away from the stop-e out of sight! People loved it! I have a liter bike now but it’s way to nice and big to be throwing it around. It’s just a big Ol drag bike with a GSXR liter bike engine! The GSX-S1000 tuned up and I got a CBR300R in red. I can toss it around a little but it’s not enough bike to stunt on but it’s a blast around town! Like a Honda Civic on 2 wheels just pin it and go! Who doesn’t love a engine that can cruise at 7k all day and not hurt it.

Great video except for the shaky camera aimed at you, which is pointless even without the shaking IMO. I had to keep skipping ahead to your front view, but it kept pointing back at you. Your other camera angle pointed the much better way = Awesome! I still gave your video a like 👍

Nice review. It's a great bike but really dated & also neglected by Suzuki. Totally agree that a few relatively minor changes would get it back in the running if the price was right. However Suzuki are supposedly discontinuing it after this year so seems unlikely. Personally I think it would be a mistake to lose it but what do I know.
@ragerider62832 жыл бұрын
@Kattrap Yes true. They seemed to leave the Euro 5 upgrade to the last minute & did the bear minimum for most of their bikes.
@ragerider62832 жыл бұрын
@Jean Roussel They have but it's the same 2021 model with new colours only & isn't euro 5 I believe so Suzuki are essential selling the last of the surplus stock this year. Although not sure if that's to discontinue it or introduce & new updated one. I hope it's the latter.

Suzuki is king of underated... They love using parts for a long time similar to Toyota which is a good thing man. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Look at the SV650 look at the DR 650. Look at the DRZ400 list goes on and on... I love Suzuki a lot of guys start on Suzuki's if you're into Japanese bikes because they seem to be a little cheaper in just as great

I bet this is good to ride. I am a big fan of the 1000 cc variant. I'd be happy with the old model 1000. The style is okay to me. The engine is legendary. I used to own a 1340 cc B-King, another old-school Suzuki engine.

The z900 is all around the better bike, but the gsxs is a great option for a budget. You can routinely find them discounted to around $8000 OTD versus the Zs $9500-10000

That's rather subjective. As with all bikes. Some people are happy with 2 fiddies. And some must have 1 thou wows. I bought the s750. Coming from a 98 xt350. Major jump in Power and speed. Great "first" bike. I'm now interested in the gsxr 1000(r) either or. Same bike Essentially. Different suspension between the r and non r. I wanted the R1 but seems a bit uncomfortable (I'm 6ft1) Anyhow long ass reply. Happy trails be safe.

the engine sounds really sexy, now all that Suzuki have to do is give this bike an LED headlight and rename it so that we don`t break our tongue every time we say its name. I really like the way this bike looks/sounds, and at that price, its hard to complain about anything really.

Bad advice to Suzuki. In the world of ultra technology we need at least one manufacturer to stick to the tried and proven. Some things on a bike should be as direct as the words I am applying to this comment. Sharp and physical, that's what riding is about for some of us who can appreciate the last quarter of the 20th century. KISS = Keep It Simple Suzuki! It Will Last Longer That Way. Peace.
