This bike looks better than my 1975 GT750 which was red metalic with a dual silver stripe on the tank. I think the chrome work is far better than the original chrome. The original chrome work showed metal sanding and finishing marks where as this example if far better finished than original bikes. I was 18 when i purchased the bike in San Diego Ca. And in the Navy. The NFCU gave me the loan. They would not give me a loan to buy the Kawasaki Z1 but loaned me enough to buy the GT. THe guys I was riding with from the base all had the Z1s and one guy had the GT550 Suzuki. They had Windjammer fairings and custom made seats. I soon mounted a Windjammer clone fairing an EZberg seat and went to the salvage yard finding a luggage rack and adjustable back rest. A few months later in the spring of 1976, i was transferred to the east coast, 3,600 miles away. April 1976 at 19 years old i made my 1st transcontinental journey from San Diego Ca. To Groton Ct. It took me 6 days to make the trip with a stop over at my parents place in Pittsburgh Pa on day 5. The bike was excellent. I wish i could say the journey was without incident but i did have an off road excursion on a highway road closure, where i went through a barrier at night in Oklahoma. Totally my bad but the bike was resilient and i rode out of the gully still upright with only minor fairing damage. I don’t remember how much 2 stroke oil the bike consumed or how many gas stops i made but it was a true adventure for me and set the tone for the return journey two years later but that is a different story. Sadly i was talked into trading the bike for the ultimate touring machine ( a 77 GL1000) the following summer. A bike i totally detested and still remember it as a mistake.

This is one of my favourite bikes of all time. Takes me right back to the 70's when these were a common sight on the roadsof Britain. It looks to be in excellent condition, even the seat cover is original. Is it a US Import, as it has high bars, and red side reflectors on the indicators lamps. One more thing, the bike didn't seem to be idling properly, maybe those carbs could use a clean out. Still, an excellent bike, one of the best I have seen in a very long time.

What a beautiful machine, I would dearly love to own that bike. Shame that I live in Australia.

it's too bad suzuki thought they needed 4 silencers to compete with cb750. a 3 into 1 pipe saves useful weight, and reduces maintenance complexity. even so, it was smooth, fast and reliable.

Take my advice and hold on to it. My brother had one back in 1986 and he sold to an idiot who had the bike wrecked in just a few weeks. These bikes are rare now and sell for mega money, especially one like yours.

I would put this in my living room for an ornament and just look 👀 at it reminiscing about when I was a biker back in the 70s/80s. Very fond memories indeed 😢makes me sad.your gt750 is lovely btw😂👍🏻

I think you are selling this bike too cheap at £7500. Its worth nearer £10000 if it is as good as it appears to be. Don't give it away, to someone who won't appreciate it.

When this was sold, believe it or not, that's what it was worth. It's in the last two years prices have gone up and up.
