The new Suzuki Ignis is a city car that thinks its an SUV. It blends compact dimensions with funky styling in a tiny town-friendly package. That boxy outline makes for plenty of interior space, and there are a pair of petrol engines that keep running costs low. It also has an attractively low price. The interior is well made, even if some of the details are slightly disappointing. Its a great alternative to cars like the Renault Twingo and Kia Picanto.

I bought one -the SZT- midrange in november 2018. Iget 55 mpg on rural roads and motorways. Last week i drove for 7 hrs without any undue discomfort. It will happily hold 120 kph ( 75 mph ) on the motorway all day. I am a bit disabled , having to wak witha a rollator ( look it up ) The boot is tall enough to hold the rollator upright , and take 3 bags of shopping without having to push the rear seats forward. Anyone with a wife and two teenage children would find the Ignis a perefctly adequate family car, given that it has roof-bars fitted . My advice is -give it a good look. At least, yu will have no problem finging it in a large car-park.

Still, not proof ;). I've yet to see an off-road review of the Ignis, and the reviews for the 4x4 version on the road have still come out positive. No reviews are not the same as bad ones! Also, parents have a Panda 4x4, personally hate the interior :P

I've just bought one. I'm not really interested in the cars inner workings it gets me from A to B. I really like the styling of it. It's modern and most of my generation will go for it for sure, to me is the best looking small car out there . Test driving it felt a little more lighter then my current car and the sound system is is more forgiving in the Bass EQ then my skid citigo (which is a lovely car but much like VW bores the shit out of me). But I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it.

I actually quite like it. It is somewhat different than the usual crowd. Audi, VW and even MB cars look so similar nowadays. People still adore them because they were conditioned to, but they look dull. I know that they are doing it to appeal to as many people as possible, but playing it safe is not exciting really. And for that I really like this tiny thing. Sure small penis people will shake nervously because someone calls it an SUV and only their big jacked up vans can call themselves that, but it just gives it character.

I have a suggestion, Carbuyer. You have a short introduction (fine) but then, 0:18 - 0:55, you talk about styling. This sounds just like an advert so it sets the tone of the review as unprofessional/biased. Instead, I suggest giving an overview of spec levels while showing the car from different angles. WTF Mate I have a Swift and am getting an Ignis as a secondary. I can personally attest to the fact that this is more practical, spacious, efficient and quality than the Swift. Swift only has slightly less body roll and sits lower, which again makes for a not so commanding view.
