Snap - This is the same one I had too when I was 16. I restored this bike about ten years ago. It's been sitting in my collection and last year I decided to fire it up again and start riding it again instead of it looking pretty... You can't take them with you so may as well enjoy them. I bought one of these new in Christchurch in 1986 (I think) and commuted on it from Lincoln to Sumner. Mine would do 105 km/h indicated. Loved it! In winter, it used to ice up the carb sometimes, crossing the causeway before Redcliffs. Now have a 1998 RG150 Gamma II. Two strokes rule.

Just loved the 50cc bikes in the 1980s..they were relatively cheap,fast and reliable.Worst one I had was honda mt . Upgraded to mbx 50..honda..it was super. Purchased others to restore..sadly sold them on..big mistake..

Keep up with a 125 till 70 mph. Even with production 125 that will goto about 80 mph. If you gamma was deristricted with sensible pipe you could beat a standard 125cc. We've all seen the fastest race 50 cc which could go well over 100 mph.

What sprockets are you running on yours Brent? Mines 11500rpm at 105kph ish
