I did the mod on my 2002 sv650 a few years back with only fancy resistor boxes made a big difference.

Hi I have a 2009 sv650s and mine has deferent plugs than the white plugs that are in the video/TRE. Mine has like see through white plugs, is there a converter I can use? Thank you

I have a problem with my sv1000s it runs great I have put it in dealer mode and everything checks out but when I ride it and open full throttle it suddenly cuts off at times and then it runs again it happenes in second and third gears, any advice also it keeps showing check on dash

Mister Kevin do you think the TRE mitigates the symptoms of the infamous "chudder" that these machines have due to faulty clutch basket design?

Unfortunately not chap, the chudder is a mechanical fault with the clutch, I wish it did though! I intend to make a video regarding the chuffed fix when I get the time 👍🏻

I have no data to suggest otherwise, I do know that short shifters are affected however.

I know my tre has a switch and idle rpm changes when I switch it on and I can feel a pretty noticable difference in acceleration.

They run fairly lean from factory so once you changed your air filters and opened the exhaust up you leaned it out even more they call it "lean popping"

@@KevsShed I've posted the same question twice or possible thrice and gotten no response; when checking back it doesn't show up ! I'll take you at your word though, if you say you didn't delete them then I have no reason to believe otherwise; perhaps it's an issue with KZbin ?! Anyway, my query was regarding the possibility that this mod would affect 5th and 6th. If you are altering the ignition retard for 1st through to 4th with resistors, will this have an adverse affect on 5th and 6th ?

That's really odd mate, I genuinely haven't seen your comment buddy, sorry about that! Anyway, what this mod actually does is kinda fools the ECU into thinking the bike is in 5th or 6th when it is in 1st - 4th. The bike only retards the timing in the first 4 gears, it has no negative impact on 5th or 6th. The only real problem with this TRE is it stops gear indicators working properly as you would expect. Hopefully that answers you question pal! 👍🤓

Maybe you were unlucky? Have used one on a TL1000s and a Bandit 1200. Noticeable difference on both.

@@019208237 It bypasses Suzuki's retarded ignition timing in the lower gears to calm things down a bit. With it fitted its more lively, accelerates harder a bit quicker all around.

I don’t think it’s possible to eliminate engine braking on a 1000cc V2 no matter what you try! 😁
