why the fifth gear presenters are sometimes more fun to watch. they don't go completely mental and blow stuff up, and they have actual skill. The TG boys are funny and all, and the Road Trips are amusing as always, but the Fifth gear team's got the edge on real motoring entertainment on them.

7 years later and a complete Top Gear fan, I kind of have to agree a little. For me it seems TG jumped some really big fish around 2012 or 2013 where a lot of segments became overly scripted to keep the audience’s attention. This video for example shows how Fifth Gear can demonstrate how good the new Swift is for the petrol head on a budget is by letting different presenters do handbrake turns in them.

Pretty nice car. If you don't ask too much it actually gives you certain amount of fun to drive. But not exactly a "hot" hatch. Rather a "warm" hatch.

Quite honestly if you added any more power to the Swift SZ3 (not even sport) you'd probably crash pretty fast. I mean as much as 10.3s 0-60 isn't fast, it's a lot faster than other cars in it's price bracket. I don't get what everyone's fixation is with turbos. The swift is fun as heck round corners and it's got some punch to it. Source: Has a Swift SZ3.

Hot hatches were originally cheap cars that were a lot more fun to drive than the specs would otherwise suggest. Suzuki swift sport is exactly these things. Sure there's much more powerful hatchbacks these days but they are all more expensive. Not just to buy but to maintain and insure as well.

Yes, you right, but still one of the best fun to drive in its class, and will last longer than most cars on the market (hundred and hundred thousands of miles). A very good balance between real hot hatches and every day cars.

5w30 for colder climates. For hot climates a 5w40 is perfect. Some suzuky dealers use 0w20 but i woulden recomend that.

I have to say I agree with you. But I think it's because most new American cars come with soft touch as far as I am a aware, where as if we want a cheap car in the UK it really is cheap. No extras and hard plastic everywhere.

Hmm, Suzuki never brought that car to North America--and now they are leaving North America. They probably would have gotten some sales with that; it actually has a decent design, unlike what they were trying to peddle here. The sedan shown is known as a Buick Regal here.

The car I have always wanted after owning the chevy badged factory turbo 3 cylinder mark 1 example here in the states, annnnd what I believe is around half of the reason Suzuki no longer sells cars here as well. Ouy mate... This makes me sad indeed.

If you actually watch the video, they all like it. And what's not to like? It looks good without trying too hard, it's fun to drive and costs peanuts to run. And unlike German or French cars, it won't come apart after 7 years.
