Enjoyed this video 😁 they sure are underrated cars, Also the hybrid system doesn’t work unless all 4 wheels are turning so you can add 10-13 bhp and 30 ft lbs onto your number if the battery was full bars. 2 wheel dyno only gives engine power not engine and hybrid combined . Mine mapped and bolt on mods made 174 bhp and 360nm engine alone. Surprises a lot of people 😂

@drdos200310 ай бұрын
@@AbandonEarth911Yes, it was a 4-wheel dyno, but it doesn't matter because the vehicle has front-wheel drive. No, I had not filled up with premium fuel. And before the question comes, the measurement was without electrical support. The 13.5 hp is therefore added at certain engine speeds.

Great vid 🙌!!! For sure underrated cars. Got a non hybrid ZC33S Sport myself. Be interested to know what fuel the car was running on to get these dyno figures. There is an urban legend circulating these motors produce more power and torque when run on 99 RON fuel. Not surprised the car produced more power as time went on, guessing the oil got more and more up to temperature and therefore the ECU unleashed more and more power 🙌

Love little turbo lightweight cars, have a VW Up Tsi which can be mapped to 145ish hp. I must admit though these Swift Sports are on my radar and I hear the 1.4 turbo non hybrid is around 100kg lighter and around 150hp on the 18 & 19 plates. A low mileage on can be had from £11k and pretty tuneable. CTC performance has had some interesting results with these, Im getting very tempted 😉
@PeakPerformanceReviewsАй бұрын
The VW GTi platform is very good but honestly the Swift is even better. It’s only 50kg difference between platform (non hybrid vs Hybrid) and you really don’t feel it at all. The newer gen one feels like it actually handles better slightly with the revisions. Low down the isn’t much in the pace department but from 50mph onwards the hybrid is noticeably faster and it’s been proven too yep both non hybrid and hybrid version are damn tuneable and that couple with the epic chassis it’s a brilliant buy 🫶😎 Thanks for watching and commenting Stephen it’s great to have you on here 😎🙌

Hi, Thank you for showing that. i have the non hybride swift sport, and what i had seen 2 years ago when i put a real boost gauge, is that if the car is just under 90° oil temp, max boost is 0.8bar, and at 6000rpm about 0.5b. 5 or 10 minutes later while driving, when it gets 90° oil temp, then 1bar max boost and 0.6bar at 6000rpm, then later with engine veryy warm, max boost at 1.1bar and 0.65 at 6000rpm. The swift needs to be very warm to give full power.
@PeakPerformanceReviews11 ай бұрын
That’s possibly it, was a cold day but we made sure it was ran for a fair while on the road before getting on the dyno, but that won’t ever get those oil temps up that much higher so that interesting and would make sense then thanks 🙏 Is that pic your on the Nurburgring? Such great little cars

@@PeakPerformanceReviewshi, were you using super unleaded? I try and use Shell V Power in my non hybrid
@PeakPerformanceReviews11 ай бұрын
Hello Pip, the press team would have put only 95 I suspect so just before I went to the dyno I popped about £20 of Tesco 99 so I suspect it helped a good bit but wouldn’t have been perfect mix as not a full tank and could have done with a bit more time to mix and get a perfect mix to the injectors etc. I suspect a few extra bhp could have been possible with constant running on 99, very pleased with the results. It’s meant to be quite a harsh dyno too so on a generous dyno I wouldn’t be surprised if it wouldn’t hit 145-150

@PeakPerformanceReviews4 ай бұрын
The power is definitely up, they just don’t really disclose it properly, so that makes up in the power to weight department. You really wouldn’t and don’t feel that weight at all. As for the 0-60 there is another video on my channel with this exact car and it does a consistent 7.5 seconds to 60mph. Where the hybrid makes up even more when you won’t ever get told is in 30-70mph pulls, it’s around 1-1.5 seconds faster than the non hybrid model. The reality is yes they do need to conform to constraints but manufacturer has nailed it so well with this 😎
@elfenstar11 ай бұрын
Sorry mate but the conversion was wrong. It’s been done many times over and just the engine alone is no more than 129.5hp. 21% for parasitic loss is way too high for our cars. It’s closer to 15% It would be close to the conversion in real life when the hybrid motor kicks in, but not on a two wheel dyno where the system will not activate.
@PeakPerformanceReviews11 ай бұрын
Likely is, as its using an inertia dyno process, so many what if’s and maybes and a long discussion. Yeah someone explains the hybrid system wouldn’t kick in so more so as to why it’s impressive. Also at this power and torque level if it was only 129+7ish bhp it wouldn’t him those numbers. I’m pretty confident and been told by others a lot are hitting way more than even we were getting on other dynos

@@PeakPerformanceReviews It is possible that some videos where they sell reprogramming to obtain improvements of 30 or 40 hp are dedicated to subtracting power from the car, it would not be ethical on their part. How many kilometers did the car in the video have? This will also influence when it comes to obtaining more or less power. Another video also from Italy is even worse, it gives it a power of 120hp and also reprograms it to not even reach 160hp. I know of a close case of another hybrid sport where first it gave 124 hp and the last one also 127 hp, on a day with 18 degrees of temperature and very rainy, with 98 octane gasoline from the Repsol company with 3100 km. He told me that when it was time to put the car on the rollers, they held the front part with straps that made the front part of the car go down and the tires looked crushed on the rollers, they looked quite deformed as if they had been put on them. a cow in the hood 😂. According to what you said, you were carrying some 99 octane fuel, there shouldn't be much difference between 98 and 99 unless some companies are not offering those octane levels that they declare.
@PeakPerformanceReviewsКүн бұрын
Yeah here most of our good super fuels are 99 octane and that’s what it has in it or at least close to a 50/50 mix of what ever the press manufacturer put in too which I would guess is 98 but let’s assume around or close to a good 99. I think you’d be lucky to see a 1-3bhp gain from 98 vs 99 at a guess. Car had around 1500k on the clock so barely ran in, if anything it’ll likely make slightly more power as it’s run in once it hits around 10-15k not much but a tiny bit. I think a lot will try to do this. Reality is tuning won’t see huge net gains from a tune due to motor size and turbo size. I’ve heard 15-25bhp is a good and possible gain from a tune with good fuel! On a lightweight car that’ll make a lovely difference mind.
