Well, at least you know what you can expect. It's still going to suck though.

Just a thought. Make sure you check the crank position sensor for a leak too. It's the thing at the top, behind the cylinder casting. I read they can be a source of leakage too.

Thanks for the video. How did you end up sealing that plug? The coated washer that's on it cannot be found anyplace I know of or tried.

Thank you for the great video; however, just curious, couldn't you just run the engine to check where the oil is coming from. I understand that there are hoses from the transmission, but they can be plugged?!
@gilrand62243 жыл бұрын
Well the problem is in getting it started as the starter is bolted to the bell housing and not the engine. Another problem is that the flex plate or flywheel is still bolted to the crankshaft and that would entirely hide the oil leak in this case. Another thing is that the transmission supports the rear of the engine so it would be unstable. So ultimately, no, you can't start the engine. You could loop the cooler lines but they are on banjo style fittings, so that might be a bit of a challenge. Glad you enjoyed the video, hope it helps you out.

Thanks for the video. Is this a 1.8 or 1.6 engine?

I believe it's a 2.0l 4cyl as those are the parts I've been buying.
