Almost 6 years later and I’m watching this to help decide on purchasing the facelift model with the spoked wheels before they launch the new 2020 model which looks like it stepped out of the 80’s. This review blew me away! What an incredible production and you have also sold me on the Suzuki V-Strom 1000. Seriously impressed with this review! I want to buy one of these as a “F#$& You Covid19” celebration! Help get the economy working by supporting local bike shops, bike gear shops, fuel stations, coffee shops, restaurants and motels as I travel New Zealand on this amazing bike!

By far, the best videography I've seen in a bike segment to date. Well done!

Very nice production, well done. I think not only this bike, but most the bikes in this category (1000cc+ Adventure Tourers) are far to heavy for much practical off road use. I bring mine to forest roads in The Pacific NW USA and as long as it's dry it's ok, but once the mud and muck are present, it gets un-rideable from a safeness standpoint. You can change over to a knobby tire which helps until you get back on the road, then that same knobby tire works against you on wet pavement. To me it simply is a weight issue, and it doesn't matter which adventure tourer you are on, once you get over 430lbs it gets dicey in slick conditions. That aside I've been riding every bike type for 50 years, if I had to pick one type bike to own this is my favorite. I've run it across the western US, up in the mountains, off road, and its rock solid. I just wish it was 100lbs lighter, then it might be perfect! (Although you could lose some of that highway stability.)

the v-strom is quiet high bike. i m 182cm still both my foot would not reach the ground completely. The presentation of the video is excellent.

Good review, my favorite part was the jump, landing a heavy bike on its back wheel first is the best way to go, in that sense you would avoid landing 503 lbs. all at once, also amazing off road ability especially for a bike without skid plate ,barkbusters, and knobby tires Thanks guys for sharing

My next motorcycle to add to my stable in the near future, can't wait! I like a bike of this type over the normal cruisers by the 100's I go by on the motorway. I am Just over 6ft. tall and 200lbs. and pushing 50yrs. old. The perfect all around bike for many people imo. This or the 650 version.

Now that the 650 is here, would be great to hear from you guys on it too. There are enough and more reviews of it already singing its praises. However, your perspective would be closer home and understand how it fares against the Versys. Would be interesting to hear how it fits in to our conditions (touring and Leh kinda off roads).. awaiting for it, hopefully as soon as you guys can get your hands on one! :) Ohh and of course how would it suit for vertically challenged people.. :-D with the average indian male height (low seat at 815 mm in mind)

I am planning for a +800cc tourer bike. Considered Kawasaki Versys 1000, Kawasaki Ninja 1000, Suzuki V-Storm, Triumph Tiger, Suzuki Bandit. My purpose is to travel interstate with minimum off roading. In terms of power expecting good low and mid range torque. My choice is between Kawasaki Versys 1000 or Suzuki V-Storm or Suzuki Bandit 1250 What would be your suggestion PowerDrift

I went through many international reviews for Bandit but those are concentrated towards respective country`s road manners / conditions. #PDArmy is only one who can review this machines as per indian road conditions. Please do arrange review whenever possible.. And thanks a ton for all the reviews may it be a 100cc bike or a litre capacity super sports or may it me a cheapest car in the world or a supercar #PDArmy covers all the aspects. Wish to see you guys reviewing Rolls Royce or Lamborghinis soon.. All the best!!!
