Suzuki Vstorm 250 - Review after covering 7000 km -

The last video was about my view/experience of #suzuki #vstrom250 after 1st service. The overall experience back then was positive and it continues to impress till date as I cover more odd kilometres. My conclusion is to go take a test ride first and decide if it's good enough for you. Don't look at the numbers/specification as they really don't justify how well this motorcycle performs in city & highway. No motorcycle is perfect, applicable for #suzukivstrom250 ....

If you research online, 300V is supposed for short term track usage compared to 7100 which is more for the service intervals 250 sx demands. 300V starts running harsher way before 7100, so it requires frequent change.

I ride Agra fo chennai in 2 days with a night halt in Nagpur, after 25 days tour in Himachal, J&k, ladakh, Punjab and Delhi. In SF 250. Bike is too good.

Bro, with 1.5 inch raiser, do you change the cable (clutch, throtle, speedometer, brake line) with longer ones?

Not required. The stock wire is good enough for 1.5 inch riser.

Haii.. do u face any Left Hand Side pulling issue on to the handlebar while riding ? To be precise.. does it have a left side pulling.. when hands released from the handlebar while riding ?

Not really! The motorcycle remains rock steady. Check your front suspension as this issue generally happens if it's not align properly, bend T, etc.

Yes I got to know this is happening with multiple users. I'm grateful it's not happening with my motorcycle. Get in touch with suzuki service center else send an email to suzuki official for help. They will get this resolved.

I owned duke 250 - 2019 model. The adv 250 comes with the same engine so I can relate my past experience. It’s not fuel efficient Good initial pickup Lags low end torque but you’ll get use to it Heats up a lot Parts are priced moderately Vstorm is a different story I like the looks better than adv Very comfortable ergonomic Fuel efficient Very good pickup (less than adv250 but not by a huge margin) I can live with it. Engine doesn’t heats up. No complicated parts so any mechanic can work on it Very smooth engine on any gear. Overall i like it more than adv 250…reason why I purchased it.

@@mrshanky2363 the heating is not inherent. It’s just that ktm builds high compression engine to extract more power. More power equals more energy equals more heat.

Hi Sir Which is better for city commuting 40kmpd with bad roads and weekend tour of 100km with max of 90kmph. Vstrom vs Highness I don't do off riding at all

Vstorm 250 is good enough for city commute and highway touring. You may find the rear suspension a bit stiff in the beggining but it will ease out after break-in period. Mine took 7k km to get adjusted. I honestly don’t like honda highness because i feel the bike doesn’t hold its own identity. Trying hard to compete with classic 350 but that’s just my opinion.

Your mirror upgrade in ingenious, but these Husqvarna mirrors look more tucked inside the handle bar .. do you have any sighting issue when you are riding wearing with jacket?

Hi man, nice content. I am also a v strom 250 owner since 2months. I have some queries. Mine is 2300km+ on odo, but for the last 800-900 kms I am noticing heating on the right side of the engine. Which I can feel on my leg. What could be the possible reasons? I'm using the stock oil, should I change it to 7100 or 300v? Or fuel mapping needs to be done? Also, I can feel little vibs on footpegs post 6.5k rpm.

Glad you like it. I encountered the same thing mostly in city bumper to bumper traffic. It's not really an issue as most 250 cc engine heats up in traffic condition. Changing engine oil will definitely reduce the heat but do not expect much difference. Having said that you can expect better fuel efficiency, engine smoothness, better gear shift, soft clutch action by using Motul 300v. Hope this helps.

@@nururkhan in my case, it is getting heated too soon, like even without any traffic, I can feel the heat right after 7-10 mins of starting.. Even can feel it in highways, a bit.. On right side specifically.

Quick question. I own Xpulse 200 and I swear I'm fed up with that motorcycle. I am planning to go for V Storm. Does it vibrates while cruising at 120-130 Kmph? Do you ever feel the lack of speed on this motorcycle? Last question, is the front suspension that bad (considering the Xpulse one coz that one is butter)?

I have the 250, it's meant for smooth cruising till 110-115. 120-130 would be pushing it and the footpegs will vibrate. For a cruising speed of 130 I think Himalayan 450 is the cheapest option. if you are coming from an xpulse, you won't like the comfort of the 250. I have ridden both, Vstrom 250 leans better, much more stable on high speeds and gives better road feedback, but Xpulse is miles better in terms of comfort and bad road stability.

@@abhineet15misra Not at all. Upto 85 I would keep Xpulse and Vstrom similar in how comfortable the engine feels. The more you push the more the gap widens in terms of vibrations and ridability. When I used to push xpulse above 105-110 it used to become a bit floaty on road and lots of vibrations overall, but Vstrom doesn’t feel that stressed around 120. But I would say anything above 120 is strictly not its cruising speed, can be considered overtaking speed.

@@abhineet15misra this one is tough to communicate but I will try. Xpulse glides on city roads, like a knife cutting through butter. Vstrom sticks to Tarmac on city roads, makes you feel confident while leaning, on highways it’s much more stable than Xpulse and can handle potholes in a good stride even in high speed (I haven’t hit many potholes on xpulse at highway speed). But once it’s broken roads, Xpulse’s suspension absorbs the tough parts, Vstrom makes you feel those. I can handle rough road patches on Vstrom in small batches but god save my back if it’s a 3hr stretch of broken road with pebbles. These days, scrambler, himmy 450 and others have such mature suspensions that you wish Vstrom could do better in this case. It’s the only weakness of this bike in my opinion.
