I have been begging you to watch the movies for so long, and hearing that you don't intend to react to them was devastating! Even if they're non-canon, they're still a part of the Dragon Ball experience! Additionally, some of the movies are actually part of the story! "Bardock" and "History of Trunks", which you should watch much later on in Dragon Ball Z, provide major backstory and lore details for the canon story, and "Dead Zone", while non-canon, is treated as if it actually happened by anime-only content, including a filler arc that lasts for several episodes. If you do not react to these movies when you reach the point in Dragon Ball Z when it is appropriate to watch them, your viewers will be missing out on parts of the anime's story!

The thing about Guku is that he will, almost, never interrrupt an opponent when they are powering up. He always wants to fight his opponent when they are at their strongest, so he'll give them time to take their final form. That way there is no doubt that Goku is stronger than his opponent. Plus he can observe his opponent and learn their special moves, or at least how to counter them.

It's never personal with Goku when it comes to fighting. Fighting is pretty much his life and he finds it fun. The only time it's personal is when you hurt his friends and family. Goku is not really altruistic like Batman or Superman for pretty much most of the series; it was always a by-product.

It's all about a challenge and training for him. He sees it as a way to improve himself and test himself while at the same time, like you said, leave no doubt that even at their best, Goku is stronger.

That is true but also, he doesn't charge in because you may never know what the opponent is doing or going to do standing there. If Goku is way stronger than the opponent then he will charge in or play around but since the opponent is near his power he can sense his ki and won't make himself vulnerable by going into the offensive.

Again, Kami never said that Goku is weaker than Piccolo. Kami just does not believe Goku has the conviction needed to kill him. You're being sassy over something that Kami never said

Oh, while almost all Dragon Ball movies might be skipped for various reasons, I would still recommend watching "Dead Zone". It has a lot of characters making an appearance displaying character development and makes for either a stepping stone to DBZ, or a great callback to days of Dragon Ball when viewed after seeing some story arcs of DBZ.

Forgot to mention the other day, depending on if you choose to watch the filler in DBZ there is one movie that connects to several filler episodes. the movie is called Dead Zone and is best watched before the DBZ series.

She'll already started the series. Just a few episodes. Either way I'd recommend she watch that movie but after a half dozen episodes since something is shown in different ways. They're both great but i think she would like how the series does it.

Now I am totally sure that you know the feats of 616 Thanos with the gauntlet So I think you will agree that Buu saga Goku with SSJ3 was low universal But Thanos with gauntlet defeated all cosmic entities and Adam Warlock. I'm talking particularly about Jim Starlin version of Thanos tbh.

Fun fact: Piccolo became 100 times taller but since there are 3 dimensions, then to caculate his volume it becomes 100 X 100 X 100 = 1 000 000 so he became 1 million of times bigger in volume and therefore 1 million of times heavier
