I went to an Anime Festival in my area back in February this year. Cherami Leigh was there. I got to meet and talked to her, she signed an Asuna poster and I got a picture taken with her on my phone. I even got to tell Cherami how emotional and sad this episode was. Not gonna lie, I choked up a bit telling her that.

I still miss him terribly, especially because he was one of the very few people who understood what my life was like, living with Chronic Pain. Meh, the studio can call it one season, a half-season, eight seasons, "Series 3" or whatever it wants. For western audiences, Alicization and Alicization: War of the Underworld were two seasons.

Next to watch in order is the Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale. Dont start Season 3 Before you watched the Movie first. I'ts not that inportant but it has some info and expecations for the Season 3. It would atherwise feel confusing about the Time difference between the Season 2 and 3, so i would reccomend the Movie first to get an headsup what is going own before the Season 3 arc is starting.

That episode made me cry, it was such a beautiful farewell and Yuuki made me thinking that no matter how depress and heartbreaking to have terminal illness: we must live life to the fullest. God, the tears won’t stop. Sniff. The third season, huff, where to begin? First off, I haven’t start watching yet ever since it was aired and as soon it was finished, I soon learned that it has a cliffhanger and thinking: ah, I’ll just wait for the second part of the season to come, but jeez louis, two parts of War of the Underworld? That’s got to be like SAO’s longest arc. On top of that; Part 2 is getting dubbed with 8 episodes and counting, it’ll take awhile before it’s complete.

kirito was always the best. even in their last battle he never used his dual wielding versus her or it would have easily been one sided.

not exactly. Kawahara said it even if he uses Dual Blade it's still an 8/10 for Yuuki. The only way for Kirito to beat her is using Dual Blade and then using Excalibur. But then he would win only because of the states not because he is better. Also a little fun fact. In the Light Novel, the Time out doesn't exist Yuuki beat him there without the time out.

Every voice actor / actress blends from heart to voice to digital images creating moment to moment 😢 the most memorable synthesis of any experience I have ever witnessed. Thank you and your colleague so much from my heart to yours . A journey has a start and end. But why should we believe that we get only one? I think it began at the council of Nicea around year 4 CE ( current era ) . Emperor Augustus wanted to make a standard model of Christianity . We believe we only get one journey . But believe are organic ! We start a journey and end it when we experience what we wanted before we began it . Another journey will begin because they never stop. Yuuki and Asuna said this . One journey ends for one. When Asuna’s current travel ends . They begin another journey together . Death is a flawed human construct based on foggy insights whether this fog is made by greater beings deliberately or not I don’t know . Of course, I cried a bunch when I saw this episode but the ending scenes show Asuna peaceful and content . The breeze flowing around her and cherry blossoms that graze her skin are touches by Yuuki letting her know that Asuna is always loved and never alone . Yuuki shows this to everyone. ❤

It's a shame that you didn't watch the Ending Theme of Sword Art Online II. The Ending Song is "Shirushi" by LiSA and the emotion describes perfectly this last scene with Yuuki in this Ending. In this episode (ep. 24) the Ending has an extended scene where you can see Asuna in front of the tree and Yuuki's sword sticks in the flowerbed.

I seldom cry for movies or the like (just for one film before), but in SAO up to season 2 this episode move me most (the second goes to Sachi). "It sometimes need to fight before getting message across" (not exact wording) really moves me. In Japanese the use of masculine first personal pronoun boku, and somewhat masculine voice by Yuuki Aoi San (same pronunciation as surname of Asuna and first name of Konno Yuuki but the meanings are different one another) is quite a factor I like the episode but not critical I think.
