Looking forward to the clutch replacement vid. Most of my experience has been top end rebuilds as too scared of cracking open the bottom end and not being able to get it back together again 😀😀😀 keep up the good work

You bought everything. Good I hope. Have you torn down the old one? Did I miss that? I can only afford to replace what is necessary. Proper English is damper springs. Dampener springs is to wetten something with a spring. Dampers quell oscillations. But I am not English, just gotten beat up my whole life for talking English wrong.

I enjoy your videos for some time now and I am really glad you've got SV1000 as your show and tell bike. I brought back to life abandoned SV1000S two years ago and do project on it ever since. Are you going for straight replacement with new clutch basket or will also be doing upgrades to it?

Straight swap for now - and the old one is getting the upgrade/fix.

£210 just for the basket - the rest including springs, friction plates, bearing, gaskets etc boosted it up to about £400

Hattori katana man, Matts bike is well worn out, kinda on junker side with milion miles probably. I think he got it intentionally like that to have vid material. Mine is 2006, 6k miles now and for past two years it was bulletproof reliable. Leave yourself some money to do basic upgrades like GSXR front end, external fuel filter and headlight harness to enjoy it best.
