oh i was the same way, but there comes a point where you just want to get grinding done quicker so you turn it on... and then going back to slow feels wrong or weird, like everything is stuck in slow motion and then you can only play on double speed... if you truly like the animations, then keep it slow forever and never go fast or you won't be able to go back.

I see so many people in comments of various videos saying that normal speed looks like the game is playing in slow motion, but that's likely only because you use it so often you're used it it. I can only speak for myself, but I never use 2x speed. I've tried it a few times, and I just can't stand how fast it goes. I like seeing the attacks and animations properly, and from my point of view, normal speed doesn't look like it's in slow motion at all. it just looks normal. If you always play at 2x speed, then that would be your "normal", so of course normal speed would seem slow by comparison.

"you can clear pretty much the whole game with any character" for now anyway now however, if you do want a challenge/a not super piss easy game, ignoring the limited banner characters is the right call. though that said, i think also ignoring meta for specifically those non limited characters AND ignoring the limited characters in combination may lead into some issues with certain boss fights eventually. though they have been slowly nerfing some of the older main story content as time goes on so it likely won't be an issue until you are caught up. i think every boss up until the current planet has been nerfed at least once if not twice. and some bosses at the games current planet have been nerfed 2 times already cause people were struggling to beat hem even with the newest hottest limited characters. for reference i used a purely f2p/non limited character team all the way up until the current planet, and i was very much struggling before then, i was able to do it, but it was a pain and required insane grinding and following meta guides and how to play well. if you truly want to ignore the limited banner, playing casually isn't really a thing unless you keep the equilibrium level low forever. people who say you can use any character to clear all content aren't lying, but there's way more behind that then people realize to make it possible.

Don't let the people trying to vicariously play the game through you win. I for one, enjoy your playthrough regardless. We all learn as we play. For the longest time, I also played in 1x speed because I liked the animations. The 2x is great for farming, simply to speed up the process (though once you get used to the 2x, it makes going back to 1x difficult, as 1x will then feel like slo-mo 😅) With 1x, it does have it's benefits specifically in boss battles, as it can really enhance the experience. And while I love the story in HSR, I did skip some dialogue that I felt wasn't pertinent to the plot, so I can't blame you for losing focus during some of the longer dialogue sequences. Anyway! I greatly enjoy your take on the game, and am already looking forward to your reaction to future scenes 😊

By the way, about why the Trailblazer was captured most often (more precisely, all of the times). Each path has a specific aggro value, which is the chance with which that character will be attacked. I don't remember the exact values, but Destruction and Preservation have the most, and hunt has the lowest. Of course, except for Tinyung, which has the highest agro in the world.

About those buffs, Tingyuns Skill lasts for three turns and transfers from whoever last had it to the new person. Using her skill a second time then resets the three turn limit. The buff to dmg gained from her Ult does stack with her skill! And the order only matters if you want to be totally energy efficient (Using your skills after you use ult to get more energy for the next ult) Have a good rest of your day!!

Recomendation when your Ultimate is ready and it is the turn of that character's ultimate, first use the Ultimate then the character skill or basic attack, so you can recharge the next ultimate of that character quickly. Also you don't need to use Tingyun's skill each turn, her rotation is skill - basic attack - basic attack, and repeat. The reason is because her skill has a three turn duration.

trotter give Stellar Jade, the resource to buy wish. they can sometime appear in fight and after 3 turn they leave. the first turn they get scared (that turn is basicly immediate unless you use an ultimat imediately), the second turn they remove their weakness (meaning you can't incapacitate and need to just hit super hard in hope you kill it) and the 3rd turn is when they leave. you can also encounter a trotter roaming in almost every area and these one give more Stellar Jade.

47:50 Pretty much all in-combat buffs apply the percentage to base stats (char's base stats + LC's base stats), so the order of application doesn't matter in terms of how effective they are. This is a good time to say Tingyun's skill buff lasts 3 turns (target's turns), and can only be active at one person at a time. Also, Dan Heng's talent that gives him res pen is activated by being a target of an ally's ability, which you asked about earlier in this video, so the timing can matter (Dan Heng's talent has a cooldown, and he has an indicator for it on his icon)

These vids are making me remember how much I like Dan Heng's kit design. You have to do a specific optimization to line up all his damage multipliers with his biggest hit, so sometimes you want to hold Tingyun ult, but then if the fight goes long it's better to have more ults even if they're not all max damage, so it constantly has you making decisions instead of autopiloting. It's one of the things that sold me on the game: simple on the surface, but there's a payoff for maximizing all the mechanics.

a small tip to build character: if you see a character on a Light Cone, there is a high chance that the light cone will work great with said character. also reading the effect of LC (light cones) is a good idea since they are one of the most essential part of the equipement

Love the vids General! About the buff stacks, the buffs stack on each other regardless of when they go up on the character. If a buff isn't stackable, it will specify that. But let's say you have two similar but unit-wise different buffs, for example, one Flat ATK stat buff (which is Tingun's Benediction) and an ATK% buff (like increase atk by 12% of current ATK stat). Or a buff that scales off another completely different stat, (like a Crit buff that scales off Defense). It's better to use the base buff which the other scales off of first in those scenarios. As for why the MC gets targeted a lot, it's because of his path. You'll realize each path has a specific tendency to get targeted first than the rest, either by default or by a skill in their arsenal. The most targeted Paths in descending order are usually Preservation (because they are MEANT to tank for the team), destruction (cuz they have balanced dmg capabilities and a good HP bar) and sometimes even harmony characters (annoying when that happens cuz their HP bars are small). The game will notify you if, in any instance, an exception appears for this. For example, when an enemy locks on a target, or you receive a curio (you'll know what that is sooner or later) that gives you a debuff of being continuously targeted.) your MC rn is destruction so he is being targeted more than the rest there.

You will get currency that can only be used on limited banners and nowhere else. Also limited banners aren't really "limited". They are coming back sooner or later. Its just that they are not up all the time. Once you find someone you likw just go for them. Next character is worth simping for..... You will know once you see her 😂

I think I'd gotten through to the end of the end of the 1.3 main story stubbornly not using a healer. The game surprised me. I'd gone in having never posted a gacha but having my my pre formed expectations. I was going to just "check it out until i reach the point where i clearly can't progress or enjoy the story without paying or an unreasonable amount of grinding", but here I still am. (Though I use the nameless whatever. The battle pass-like thing). It's been fun to see you enjoying the various aspects of the game, too.

I'm guessing the question at 47:50 is from current DonnyVick, not the past one? If so, maybe you still want the answer: the buff, giving ATK was from Tingyun's Skill. It increases the buffed characters ATK based on their Base ATK (only increased by levelling the character and their Light Cone). It also has a limit based on Tingyun's own current ATK stat (this one takes into account both her Base ATK and whatever extra ATK she gets from relics/buffs/whatever, so it's usually never the limiting factor) Also, Tingyun's Skill can only buff one character at a time, so every time you recast her Skill on a new target, the previous target loses the ATK buff. The three glowing dots next to her portrait show how many turns the buffed character can take before the buff runs out, so she usually wants to put a buff on one target and then refresh after it runs out in 3 turns. Regardless, your playthrough is a constant source of joy for me and many others and I hope you continue enjoying the game in a way you yourself find fun first and foremost.

I wont lie, meta is kind of important in this game. There are some bosses that you cant beat with just about any team. But id rather you get to expetince that on your own😅 Also, you are pretty fun to watch ngl. The fact that you like normal speed is kind of impressive. Anyway, have fun. Edit: before i forget, i would highly recommend pulling for limited characters, particularly those you like. Personally, i only pull for characters i like but because they need a specific team, you kind of have to pull for their supports as well. Its an intricate system that you get to understand. Also, the game gives you enough pulls to get maybe 2 5 star characters every patch. Otherwise, have fun. These videos are awesome❤

The only thing on your combat is the use of Tingyun skill, she buff for 3 turns, to only 1 person, so if you re use the skill then is gone from the other character, you can see she has 3 marks on her protrait, just use her skill 1 every 3 turns on your stronget atacker

Atk and DMG are separate multipliers in the damage formula. So the order of buffs doesn't really matter. Unless the buff stats otherwise, buffs to the same stat do stack if from different sources. For example, Asta and Tingyun both buff Atk and can stack with each other. You may have already learned this but Tingyun's Skill buff lasts three turns but only buffs the last target of her skill (so only one person can have that buff at once).

Position of team set-up is important so you might want to consider moving your healer to the beginning/end of the line. This does not affect turn order as that is based on SPD. More SPD the character has the higher up they start in rotation.

Play the game how you want to play it! Ignore meta slaves, you can clear the content in the game with all of the characters. New characters just make it more convenient as more playstyles and meta are being added to the game. I would say team comps are only important if you're struggling with certain fights. At least without new characters, you can focus on your current roster and make them stronger. Most people wanna see pulls because as gacha players, we're pretty much addicted to pulling on special/limited-time warps lolz I know this may sound contradictory to what I said but I highly suggest building Natasha. The one issue with Bailu is that unfortunately she can't cleanse, she's an amazing healer and the revive is nice but with so many enemies later on have CC debuffs, it can get quite difficult for her. However, Natasha is a really good as a healer for early game since she Ult builds up fast due to the low energy cost but her cleanse is quite SP hungry since she can only cleanse when she uses her skill. Fortunately, later down the line, you will get a free 4* sustain who has a cleanse on her Ult and her ongoing healing lasts longer. There are three other characters you can also get for free when conditions are met. Thankfully with HSR, when you're up to date and unlock the most recent events, with each patch, we get a 4* selector from said events. I often use it to get missing Eidolons for my characters since I have all the current 4*. ALSO SERVAL AND ASTA ARE DEFINITELY MUST BUILDS TOO. Serval's fast Ult build up plus her DoT and AoE dmg will make things a lot easier for lightning weakness enemies. Asta's talent gives you about 70%+ Atk buff when fully built and her Ult gives SPD buff thus more turns for your characters.

Not using limited characters is actually a really nice idea, if you simply want to play the story and not care so much about endgame content. Many limited characters really trivialize story content to a level, where you simply use the same 4 characters and tactics regardless of what enemies you're battling. And there are many characters available in the standard banner and f2p, who are still fun to play, while also having thrilling story battles. As for stat boosts, there is a strict order: Your character's plus your lightcone's stat is your base stat. The "+x%" boosts are calculated from your base stats and added next. The flat "+x" boosts are added last. So no, it doesn't really matter in which order you apply boosts, because you final stat will always be calculated the same.

This is not a tips, but kinda a advice, I'm already know you don't really care about meta and stuff, but I really recommended got 1 limited sustainer (abundance or preservation) the reason it's they make much much more easier time, and for whose sustain, u can pull anything u want all of them much better than *4 sustainer or bailu&gepard, bcz in later boss I think u will need them especially if u don't want to min maxing the character and keep farming relic and stuff For other role it's definitely help but, you don't really need it much, they already got many strong support char, for the DPS I think if can't die any DPS pretty much can clear

*Kinda spoiler escpecialy for meta th @@Voidling977 also if i advice for people care about meta, i will excluding luocha bcz we have gallagher, bcz they kinda similliar but for pure survavibilty, luocha still much better, also fyi b4 i build gallagher i still using lynx (not even e6) but still can sustain moc 12 ez, but the thing is sustainer *4 need more farming relic to goods enough, i also even if u fully build natasha, gepard, bailu (i still much much prefer lynx than bailu), u pretty much can solo sustain the hardest dificulty content in game, but the thing is for super casual player and not pulling for any limited character especially the dps, and ofc not min maxing character, *5 sustainer is very much help, especially all three of them (except luocha he kinda outdated now) but even luocha is very very good compared to any *4 and standart sustain And don"t forget the weaknees of gallagher (and luocha) they both scale not without hp/def so they can be really squishy

hey man just an FYI; your fox lady Tingyun gets boosts when she boosts an ally (so after you use the skill on someone, you generally wanna attack untill those 3 little dots on her picture are gone). It's not necessary or anything, you're just missing out on some damage that might make fights a little easier.

47:52 The order of buffs do not really matter as they stack the same regardless of which one comes first. "Increases dmg dealt by x%" increases your entire damage output by that number, but they are not multiplicative with each other, so if there are multiples of the same buffs (let's say an x% buff and a y% buff) then your damage will be increased by x+y%. If you use relics that increase your dmg%, then this one is also in the same calculation, meaning it is not multiplicative. Same for atk bonuses, they aren't multiplicative with each other so if you have a 20% atk buff and a 10% atk buff, you get a total of 30% atk increase. This atk increase is based on the base atk of your character (which can only be increased by leveling up your character and lightcones). The atk bonus you get from relics does not count for these buffs. Also, your dan heng gets wind res penetration whenever you target him with an ally's skill. So if you heal him, shield him, or buff him, he gets that extra wind res penetration. This is his talent, and it goes on cooldown for two turns whenever you use any attacks with him. So you preferably use it with his ult. This is one of the best buffs in the game as it is very rare to see resistance penetration buffs lol

Hey people told you already but when using Tingyun you see the dots next to her profile picture in battle. Those indicate the charges left of the skill bonus. If you use the skill again they will reset to 3 but the buff does not get increased, if you select a different target from the first one to be buffed, the previous one will lose the buff. Point is, for skill point management It is wise to only use skill basic attack, basic attack. Nice job with Svarog fight anyways, Natasha did not even had to do anything lol, she heals you if you get fked in that fight.
