Trying Out All of The Departure Banner 5 Stars! Honkai: Star Rail Character Trials

As a new player it's a no brainer that I gotta try out all the cool characters that people like. Seems like this list includes Yanqing, Bronya, Gepard, Welt, Himeko, Clara, and Bailu. I've played Himeko, Welt, and Bailu, but the rest are a total mystery.

Yanquing honestly isn't that bad if you have Aventurine. Because then he'll basically never lose hp and his buff will stay active forever.

@@Voidling977 DHIL was very clunky to use before Sparkle came out (well we had Hanya but it's not the same at all) exactly because he was too SP hungry. Blade doesn't have this problem but he has another - he doesn't have a dedicated HP-centered support, most of the popular supports are buffing ATK which Blade doesn't need. Although now with Jade he's pretty good in Pure Fiction

Bronya's basic ability will always crit since she innately has 100 percent crit. So the main stat for bronya is crit dmg because her buffs can be improved from crit dmg as well as her ult. Arlan skills doesnt use up skill points but he he does sacrifice hp for his skill and his attacks get bigger the less hp he has Yes Clara's counter is whenever she is hit by any means she will counter as a follow up attack. Her ultimate makes her counter even more powerful that it makes her counters aoe as well as give her 35 percent dmg reduction. She is my favorite of the bunch because i kept rolling for her somehow and ended up e3 her while being f2p. Yanqing basically does not want to be hit so he can do more damage. Shields can also make him not take dmg. But his problem is that most to all bosses have aoe skills so not many people use him unfortunately.

The reason behind Gepard's funny guitar case and the thing his bad singing references is very cute :) Also, if you like Clara, you can go to the shop to take a look at her signature 5* lightcone. No need to buy it, you can just look at its art and read its description at the bottom after scrolling past all the stats. When you pair the description with the art and name of the lightcone, it's very sweet

As someone who has Clara, she’s probably the most fun of the early HSR “Tank” characters to use. The way her kit works essentially takes full advantage of every part of her kit to get her ultimate basically every time her turn rolls around for near-constant uptime, giving her a great amount of durability. (I also love how Svarog goes full Papa Bear mode when she uses her ultimate.)

If you were not already aware, after 300 pulls on the standard banner you can pick any of the standard banner 5* characters. So if you don't get Clara by then you can just pick her from the line up. That will take a considerable amount of time though (and continuing to play the game). Well unless you just throw money at it but that isn't advisable. I've been playing since launch and she is the only standard 5* I am missing (I picked Himeko).

@@DonnyVick Only standard banner 5* I'm missing. There are plenty of limited 5*s I skipped and missed a few. If you lose the 50/50 on a limited banner you get one of the standard banner 5*s. I've spent a bit but try to keep it to a similar amount you'd pay for a MMO subscription. I figure that is fair considering the quantity of entertainment I've gotten out of the game. I have an alt challenge account that is 100% free to play where I can only use Harmony characters. It makes most of the game pretty challenging (no healing or shields. No one designed to be a dps). Heck the end game content is likely going to be near impossible for the foreseeable future.

Clara is really fun to play with, in Herta’s simulated universe you can grind a free five star weapon(lightcone) that perfectly fits Clara playstyle. Also I can’t help to notice your love hate relationship with Herta throughout your vids. I’m starting to think you’re simpin- I mean you’re wife is Herta rather then Tingyun.

1 hours is good for me, also i see u like follow up unit, sadly rn we pretty much only have aoe follow up dps (non limited one), the only exception is yanqing, but hissl follow up kinda rng, and not reliable, sadly there is 1 limited character that they give for free via mail bcz this game win game awards thingy and they gives u that unit quite for a long time, but u just a little bit late sadly But yeah himeko herta is top tier team comp if u face many enemy if they weak to fire and/or ice (the sad thing himeko really want u to break an enemy, but herta only need many mobs bcz he follow up if enemy hp got reduced to50%)

Svarog/Clara was favorite too when I first started playing 😂 I think 1 hour format is okay. Doing it in arcs is okay too especially since some unskippable scenes in future quests take AT LEAST an hour

the best thing to do on any DPS (hunt, destruction + erudition!!!!) is to use skill every time (unless you wont have enough skill points to buff/heal after if needed) - its just more powerful than the basic attack. ESPECIALLY after being buffed, its kinda wasteful to use a weaker atk after being buffed

18:15 Just in case you don't know, March 7th's skill adds more aggro to the target along with the shield. It's nice to combo with Clara who wants to be hit, but putting it on a squishy unit like Tingyun can be counterproductive.

The 1 hour video is pretty good, longer than that probably is too much too digest for one sitting. I think past 1 hour mark only works if it's a stream rather than an edited video. Regardless, go with what makes you feel comfortable and feels right to you. Keep up the good work! 😊🎉

Just FYI : some of support 4☆ are surprisingly good too. Asta (the character you got in very first gacha) she is great support since she give raw atk% boost and ult boost your speed also she is good fire breaker for early game. Pela is great for defense reduction. Most standard 5☆ still good up until now. Btw you are not the only one who never use herta, i'm with you, pela is my main ice character rn 😂

It was then that Donny first witnessed the glory of follow-up attackers. You're gonna love the current and the next character I'm sure. I had a very niche situation in DivUniverse once with a lot of hard-hitting + high-speed enemies where Clara + Luocha (a unit that heals a unit every time said unit is attacking) carried me through. Yanqing used to be the hero of 1.0 and part of 1.1

i had bailu, bronya and himeko pretty early on, eventually welt too, and all of them are still built and used by me to this day. i still don't have clara, my gepard was built only to be immediately replaced by a certain blonde shielder, and i have jingliu so no reason to build yanqing. but all of the characters are good!
