Why is no one talking about the CEO of SVB being on the board of the SF federal reserve? Shouldn't he have had the information that the fed was going to continue to raise rates? He and the rest of the SVB board sold off great amounts of their personal stock right before the bank closure. Let's not forget the bonuses paid out right before the bank closure. I think that money should be clawed back and the members of SVB board should go to jail. Maybe the rest of the SF fed board should join them in jail. They certainly weren't policing SVB very well.

A “Run on a Bank” in 2007 happened at the speed of paper and ink. The “Run” on SVB last week happened at the speed of “light” in the form of computer electrons making transfers to other depositories. A new “Bank Run” paradigm is now in play.

Bank bail outs have only started but wait for bail ins.. goodbye to your currency in your account to cover bankrupt banks No wonder their pushing cbdc.. commercial banks are fucked. Cbdc was goin to be the final nail in the coffin for these banks

Political decision was made to stop printing press and raise interest rates. Banks dosen't like it, they wants things to be like in old good times! So those couple of banks with ,,young,, money was bankrupt on purpose to start printing press again.

When has it rewarded extravagantly? In past cases of hyperinflation it might have retained you some purchasing power, but I can’t think of any cases where it’s been about “extravagant” reward rather than being a form of insurance. Although perhaps he was referring to investing in the junior miners, which is something of a lottery

Mathew is as good sa they come explaining the dystopia in the financial markets. Almost equal to Rick Rule, beautiful and judicious use of English. Complex things explained so well that this SLV Bank implosion is easy to understand, why rate inversion is a leading indicator, why raising the interest rates hurts the reserves at the bank, Why too many Martinis will make you not have any more!
