And let's see, you've sailed from Tobago to Grenada and back again something like 12 times now? ; - ) Oh, and the last couple minutes were very fun. PS - What I like about my (smallish) boat is that it has a retractable keel. So even if I get drunk (early in the mornin') all's I gotta do is yank up ma keel and off I go! hahaha : - D

Awesome guys! This reminded me of when I ran our 47' Jenneau bare boat on a sand bar in Anagada harbour last May in the BVI's . The cruisers in the harbor were on us like flies assisting and we did a similar method of tilting the mast with a halyard but we needed a boat with twin 200 hp outboards to finally get us off. What we did though was to run a spare halyard off the mast attached to the anchor chain near the end and ran the chain out to starboard with the dighy about 200 feet then planted the anchor firmly in the sand and pulled on the halyard with our powered winch which heeled us over. I wasn't drunk though lol.

Killer drone shots! London Bridge looks amazing! Not sure if you've tried this, but put the Mavic in tripod mode. Fly forward so you still have proximity sensors protecting you. Then carefully fly from altitude, down through the opening and climb out on the other side. Then run the vid at like 4x! Love Brian's watch rules! It's so important for there to be a respected chain of command. It seems as though he is a good captain and the crew respects his wisdom. Although you guys don't include a whole lot of technical sailing talk, which I get might get boring to viewers, I do like a little mixed in like when the girls are talking in the morning. The guy has it alllll figured out! Let him sit there if he's stubborn! Great drone shots of him. Well done. LOVE THE OUTTAKES!!!

One of the very best techniques for refloating a sailboat is heaving it over. Some seem to think it will damage something, but the mast is built for the strain. After all, it heaves the boat over itself under sail. Good job y'all.

In ’86 or so I dove the point off of Cabo San Lucas, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific; surge and swells were so bad that the panga had us all geared and ready to go, then motored in, dropped us all straight down, and motored back out. If you didn’t make it down 60 feet the first try you probably wouldn’t get down at all and the panga would swoop in and pick you back up and get out of there. At bottom surge was like you described at London Bridge, but like an E-ticket ride. Great dive if you ever have the chance.

I have traveled extensively through the US on my Harley but that is also behind me. My wife of 44 years will not have a boat or the adventures. I either have to split form her and what I have built or give up this dream. I'm not sure if your videos are helping or hurting....Thanks!
@cheerbeerification4 жыл бұрын
You only live once. Don't split from her, but follow your dream. If she puts an ultimatum on it, you might end up splitting, but that's her choice. In the end a true partner will support your choices, even if they aren't down for it. Remember it goes both ways as well, you'll have to find something that she has a dream for and support her in it.
