2 ads before vid, other ads during vid, 2 ads after vid. I cant process this... this is Richters spiritual product and a common wealth. a gift to humanity. ppl upload it, and monetize vids. cant process this sh it.

What is wrong with the sound quality? I feel as if I'm in Budapest in 1958!!

22:17 "Why are you playing so fast?" --- "Because I can" ... Genuin Russian humor ..

No, not because he could--because he heard the music (and Schubert's soul) in this way.

How fortunate Hungarians were in 1958 to hear this--on whatever piano Richter played (see comments below)! I think Richter is doing exactly what Schubert wanted--not to try to guess Schubert's mind but to take the "text" (score) and let your own spirit shape it, give it flight.

R could make miracles..even on bad pianos..all pianos were bad in his tours in Hungary.

Do you know what brand of piano Richter played on in this recording? I'm curious to know.
@fa-la-mi-mi-re3 жыл бұрын
@@extremepianochannel No idea but most probably an old brand out of tune.I often wondered!

@@fa-la-mi-mi-re I wonder if it's a Kawai. That's what it sounds like the most to me. I simply don't know whether or not Kawais were available in the west at the time this recording was purportedly made.

@@extremepianochannel I don't think so at all.I would rather go for PETROV or DEMAL .I shall do some research.

@@fa-la-mi-mi-re Thanks! I would greatly appreciate that. I never heard of Demal pianos, btw.

Too speed the last movement... it's an Allegro no Presto. However don't like this interpretation...
