My wife and I used to have an Albin Vega 27! It was our first boat too. LOL we didn’t anything either. So many memories ❤️. We had to sale it when the first baby came along.That sound of the engine running particularly when you transition the Kombi transmission from reverse to forward. Oh it takes me back...to when I was so care free. I loved that musty smell. Enjoy Brother and live for me!

Man you lucked-out with that engine. Looks really clean. That's always a good sign. I've looked at countless boats I've liked... until I got to the engine. Some of them are positively frightening. Had an Islander 28 for many years but the engine was cursed from the beginning. Volvo. 13-horse. A shaker and a stinker she was. Until one day she went Tango Utopia. I'm almost ready to start over.

Nearly bought this Vega myself! Offered the guy £3700 and he wanted £3800 from memory...think it was around Feb 2017. Lot of boat for the money, best of luck!!

Looks like you did alright. The engine is especially good for a boat that size. Bought mine in a similar fashion without looking at it much but bought it knowing I was going to strip & rebuild and now I'm finished don't regret it at all. Re-launched earlier this year after a 2yr refit. Did an interior tour video recently if you need some ideas.

Just a tip your drone footage is a little jittery its because of the shutter speed of the drone camera. You can improve this by adding a ND8 filter to the lens & it will look better and slow the shutter speed down a touch & also give you a bluer sky at the same time

+Nigel Donald Photography Hi Nigel, the drone footage was taken from my Step Dad, I'll take you're advice on board for when I get my drone though! He said he has an NF8 filter and others but he's just unsure of when to use them. Thanks for your advice!

William Applegate Nice mate! Would definitely recommend getting one, wouldn't say they're too small as some people do either. Mine was £3,750 but came with the problem of being arrested in Essex... so seemed cheap but came with stress! Josh

Andre Yeah! I love Chuck and Laura! Their refit is a massive undertaking, I'm forever watching their videos and pausing for clues on how the boat is constructed. Thankfully, I should be able to save a large portion of my interior.
