These are great little subs. I just built a 5.1.2 surround with this sub. Its great for movies and music. I have the Ultra bookshelf/center for my fronts, the ultra surrounds and the elevations for overhead. I can't imagine having a bigger sub or floor standing speakers. Plenty of juice that hopefully isn't pissing the neighbors off. lol

I have polks signature s60 wich can get to 26hz and i want to buy pb 1000 pro or sb 1000 pro and eventually center and surround speakers from polk signature series wich can get to 40hz. I will to set the crossover to 40hz. I wanna listen to music but also watch some movies on it. So my thought is, in the music the towers will play punchy bass and sub will play just lowest frequencies so I thing I can get pb 1000 pro cause it will be good for the lowest bass in the music and also for movies. (my room is 12 meters)

Anybody have a sub-woofer that produces a low frequency quiet hum?. It is not the sub-woofer itself (I don't think). I can leave it plugged in and powered on and there will be NO HUM if I disconnect the inter-connect cables that are plugged from my sub to my AMP. Can the AMP itself cause a ground loop? I heard a "Isolation Transformer/Ground Loop Hum Eliminator" might help? Any suggestions? I like to listen to Jazz a lot and that music can be dynamic. Even though the hum is not very loud - During quiet passages in Jazz the noise can be very noticeable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is one enough? Also, do you have a name for the table it's on?

Hey man, do you recommend this sub over the pb1000 if I were to use it to listen to music because I know that the pb1000 goes down to 19hz and the sb1000 only to 24hz so is it worth buying the pb1000 for that 5hz difference?

Splitting hairs at that point. You'll never hear the difference. The big question is if you want ported or sealed, and that's only something you can answer. For home theater, I believe in ported. For a stereo/music application, I prefer sealed as it's tighter and not boomy.

@@AeroSS87 Right, I think I'll go with the sb1000. Thanks for the advice.

@@AeroSS87 Mate, how long did it take you to break in your subwoofer?

it's not just a 5hz difference the ported one will be much more effortless in the lows

@@LucasFerreira-gx9yh I ended up buying the pb1000 and now I’ve got a second one. I wasn’t disappointed 😁

Im thinking about adding a SVS 1000/2000 to my floorstanding speakers because the bass is deep but too soft in music (lacking punch). Do you think it'll improve the punch and impact of the bass or should i just be looking for new speakers alltogether?
@AeroSS874 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I got these for, and it fills the void more than perfectly. I have an sb1000 underneath each of my main loudspeakers. The mains are rebuilt B&O RL140"s, powered by a 1975 Kenwood KR9400 rated at 120x2, all recapped. If only we had further technology that I could give a full system demo over KZbin that would accurately portray just how well balanced it all is.

Just be sure to get a sealed enclosure. Ported will be too boomy and not as punchy. Leave ported to home theater 😎

Can this on s1pro bose?

Nope.. wrong combination.. 2 different combinations.. home audio and professional audio equipment.. they both do different things.. Trust me. Pair your S1 Pro with a Bose sub1 or sub2.. as you please.. but not with home audio equipment 👍.. you don't need 20hz for party use.. you will loose loudness!
