I bought two sets of these a couple of years ago for my HSU Research subs when some of the feet were wearing out. It made a huge difference in my room as well. Without additional EQ (this was before I got into the MiniDSP recently), the SVS isolation feet made the subs sound way less boomy in my space, and the clarity in tones were much more pronounced. Not as big of a difference as actually EQ’ing now that I’ve heard how that sounds, but definitely an improvement worth the price IMO. I’m really glad I have them.

I believe they made a difference on my pair of SB-3000 subs. I also elevated the subs off the floor roughly 6 inches using slabs of butcher block counter top found at Home Depot using black pipe nipple and flanges for legs on the slabs. You can hear the bass in the air, not feel it through your feet. I feel it made a big difference in my system, the feet and elevation.

They are a must have! After I installed them it was a huge difference. Original SVS feet are a crap...they should sell subs with the isolation system by default.

I just upgraded every component of my HT and watched this video and several others on the isolation system from SVS. My room and walls pick up a lot of resonance and I knew with my new setup I didnt want and glasses rattling off the shelf 2 rooms away. I started with two sets of these since I originally was going to run a 7.2.4 and put them on a pair of Rythmik F18's. The amount of bass these produce and the low freq they can hit never sounded so good. There is some kid of voodoo magic in that rubber doughnut. It reduced everything everywhere and eliminated most of it. I wanted to even my bass out more and just ordered two more Rythmiks and 2 more sets of these so I could daisy chain and have subs in each corner. Thats how much I liked them. I experienced similar results with hardwood floors and a crawl space under the house in a very old log cabin. It's a small investment with BIG results.

I notice a difference. If I'm in the bedroom and you're watching something the walls and doors no longer rattle. Definitely a big improvement. And I don't notice anything bad in the sound quality either but you're the true expert. I just do love spolsions, 140ft monster stomps and t-rex stomps. Those are still super powerful. 😁

Excellent video. I have dual PB1000 Pros and I would say the isolation feet absolutely made a difference. I was able to turn up the gain on the subs and there is no rattle or vibration in the room. They also seem to make subwoofer placement a little more forgiving especially in a corner. Cheers !

I have a single PB1000 pro. I live in a house and the sub is in the corner. I couldn’t agree more with Brad. Although I never had an issue with unwanted rattling, to me the bass sounds tighter and for that reason I think they’re worth it. I cannot deny I could also be falling for the “placebee” effect lol. If you’re like me and aren’t experiencing unwanted rattling then maybe save $50. However if you want to squeeze every ounce of performance out of these awesome subs then go for it. I love what they’ve done for my HT.

I've been dealing with door, window and various kitchen rattles after upgrading my subwoofer to an SVS. It sounds awesome but the rattles are distracting. This review sold me on the feet. My one concern as it would make the bass less pronounced but it sounds like it actually might clean it up and make it better while reducing the rattles. Worth a shot.

@@Rancid_Ninja Hate to say, but I hated them. I think the product itself is good but your use case will vary. I actually like boomy and painful bass. This pretty much cut out all of the boom. I just didn't like the sound. I ended up just fixing all of the rattles I could.

I bought some subwoofer feet from parts express hoping they'd be similar to the SVS ones but alas they a much stiffer rubber than them. However I didn't even realize that my HSU subs have their feet held in with wood screws so replacing them probably isn't happening. I placed them underneath the other feet so we'll see if that makes a difference otherwise it's time to get the Auralex Subdude HT pads. Also worth noting that the material your floor is made out of has a huge impact on how effective they are. For example concrete floors wont make much of a difference if any whereas something with a subfloor will have a bigger difference. I got some for my dad as he was having issues with paintings rattling and it made a pretty decent difference.

Nice review bro thank you. Please could you wade in on this: Do you think the isolation feet will work well with the my sb3000 sat on a stool as opposed to being sat on the floor? Are these feet purposely built for floor and have you tested them on stool? Look bro. my sub has to be placed on a stool because my room is too small and that means flooring the subwoofer would transfer all the sound underneath my bed. I'm quite happy with it this way because subwoofer sound can reach kitchen and bathroom when room door is opened. Thanks in advance

I have heard about this, and it’s something that I want to explore for a future video. With this hobby, there is almost always a way to go the DIY route. It may not be as “elegant” as an all-in-one solution such as these feet or something from Isoacoustics, but that normally means it will be cheaper.

Since you are keeping them. It would be nice if you do some follow up with a better scientific aproach than the glass of water. An accelerometer would show you better differences in vibration. You can contact another fellow youtuber to help you in that department. Nowadays smartphones have a myriad of sensors inside, I think you could even use them with the right app to rudimentary measure vibration magnitudes.

Does the isolation feet prevent the walls, ceilings, and floors from cracking and prevent windows from breaking apart when playing bass at loud volume? Youthman did a video about subwoofers causing destruction in the house.
@HomeTheaterGamer
@HomeTheaterGamer Жыл бұрын
I think when you're pushing the volume and frequency those guys are (that they talked about in that video), no amount of isolation feet will help prevent windows breaking, floors cracking, etc. Keep in mind that they were pushing INSANELY high SPL/volume level with those subwoofers they were talking about (and at single digit frequencies like 8Hz). It's something most of us won't ever have to worry about outside of some dishes rattling and the occasional picture being vibrated off of the wall.
