Had an MT-10 with Black Widow decat pipe. Traded it in for a Harley Davidson Fat Boy and had Vance & Hines installed.

Awesome video, wish you'd done it before I did mine. Had to guess my way through it. I bought my FZ10 (US version) at the launch in 2017 and imidiately bought a prototype Termignoni decat pipe and it was a bit of a pain to get it to line up the mount bolt at muffler. Amazing how loud and incredible it sounds. Sounds very Rossi GP even with the stock pipe. Thing I figured was back then, the only aftermarket pipes available were all the same diameter outlet as the factory can SO why pay $800 for a can when it will sound identical and the factory can looks great and is titanium. Made no sense to me. Definitely my favorite sounding bike for sure! I'm a big Aprilia V4 sound lover but the crossplane 4 is my new favorite. I have the armor grey and fluorescent color combo, would have LOvED an SP but of course they weren't out at launch and you can NOT find them in the US. I just sold mine to a popular KZbin motoVlogger in the US "the muscle biker" a month ago (biggest mistake of my life! Great guy and cool to see myself in his video and be able to see my bike in daily vlogs but really miss the bike! ) the vlogger has a ZX6R and an Aprilia RSV4 SBK Factory but did a cave job himself on it and screwed up the motor SO needed another vlogging bike and bought mine.

I'm coming to a decision that I want an MT10 SP as my next bike. And I want one over a 2015 onwards R1. I've had a 2004 R1 for nearly 9 years and I love the Yamaha brand. I had a test ride on a standard MT10 and I loved it.

Like the sound but not sure I could cope with the noise on longer tours. So far my cat is still in place. Think I would need an end pipe that did a reasonable job of keeping the noise down.

I have a 23 MT10. Would I be able to fit a BW end can on the link pipe? I noticed the pupe diameter was exactly the same when I last checked against the OEM.

good video did you connect the cables for the sensor onto the link pipe or keep off have akrapovic end can thinking off decat the bike

Do you have to tuck all those cables away or can you fit the link pipe and reattach the cables to the pipe?

Is the bike much louder when you put the decat pipe on.? I like the quietness of the stock system bet like the idea of removing all that weight.

Did you have to get and remapping done? Or did it run ok with just the link pipe and original end can back on. Thinking of getting an MT10. Cheers.

HOW... LOUD... IS IT? I want a LITTLE louder than stock, but New York State here has been cracking-down hard on REALLY loud bikes. Is it brutal?

Love the SP, wish it was available in the US. Decat sounds great! I ended up going with MIVV link pipe, just posted a walk around video with exhaust sound clip, please take a peek if you like. Beautiful bike, thanks for the post. Sub'd 👍

Hi. what did you do with the stock muffler? did you cut of the inlet and installed another one?
