Great video Nick and thanks for the shoutout 👊🏽 We’re with you about Freddie and as you can see, we watch your good self too, and increasingly fewer others. I mainly otherwise watch car and camera channels tbh. What beautiful villages and countryside in this video! All the best my friend and love to the family 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks 🙏 appreciate you tuning in but my life is more switching to Boat stuff these days. A little more work to do and then I’m off in June to take her to the Mediterranean over a month at sea and so looking forward to it. Cheers 🍻

@ That sounds great! How long would it take to sail to the med?
@MOTOUK1Ай бұрын
at over a thousand miles, only sailing during day, I will allow 3 weeks taking in the French coast and harbours, Spain and Portugal on way. Possible to do in 10-11 days if night sailing but I’ll stick to days.

I couldn't agree more, Nick. I'm in Canada and we've got some very serious issues here too, many of which are directly caused by our government. I avoid watching/listening to the news. I find I'm much happier. Sometimes, ignorance truly is bliss. I've got many more years behind me than I do ahead of me, so in my twilight years, happiness is #1 for me. I couldn't agree with you more about the TFT on the Tiger. So many people complain about the lack of info on the home screen. For me, less is more. Why on Earth does anyone need to look at an odometer all day? It's like watching grass grow. 🤦♂️ I've ridden several other bikes with TFT screens and I find them far too busy and distracting. Being able to customize the screen is brilliant. The Tiger is a fantastic bike and I believe it is overlooked by many. Many times I hear KZbinrs list off examples of big adventure bikes, it's almost always BMW, KTM and to a lesser extent, the Honda Africa Twin. Rarely do I hear Triumph mentioned, or even Ducati, for that matter. Ride on and live life, Nick. Cheers. 🍻
@logangodofcandyАй бұрын
The tiger 800 has higher compression, revs higher, and hits Max torque at much higher RPMs. It is a higher stressed engine that generates torque and HP at much higher RPM. The difference is pretty much like comparing the twin 1200 high torque to the high power. Sport bike tune, vs all around tune. Scrambler 1200 has the best tune of the three.

Great rant ,I think you told it as it is. Lakes always seems to look good what ever the time of year. I do like Freddie's Channel and I also watch Bankrupt Pensioner quite often. Anyway, good to see you back out again on the Tiger and hope to see a few more winter trips but just take it easy especially if there is ice around. 🙂🥶

I'm with you 100% with the government mess we're in, we need a massive change., the UK just dosent work anymore 😢 As you know I like the VOGE brand, and I have ridden the BMW f900 and that also has the Chinese engine.... But it really feels like a Chinese engine. I like BMWs alot but they are not as reliable as people think. The new 1300 has had lots of issues which shouldn't happen with a 20k bike. VOGE for me if they get their ducks in a line could be really good.... But the fact is getting their ducks in a line is e where many Chinese brands fall down. I got some grief for having a pop at CF moto, but the facts and what I was talking about is coming into light and people are seeing my points in reality. Good to see another MUK vid. Hope all is well with you and yours. Steve👍

I occasionally ride through my childhood neighbourhood and like you have great memories which evoke feelings of the past. Pubs, nights out and the like. Good to have those feelings but feel sorry for my kids as as you say younger people today just don't seem to cut loose like we did. Crack on my friend, happy riding and maybe I'll run into you around the lakes lanes.

Agree with the vast majority of your rant, except the Tiger 800. Not for me but, I am pretty sure it will do well. I think your Rally looks better Pro - I like the dash too (and use the same settings). Averaging 56mpg which is a bit better than my Rocket at 46mpg.

Hi 👋 no need for a video, put the key in the key hole on left side of bike, turn and lift front seat from the rear of it, should lift and slide off. The rear seat there is a latch plastic black under rider seat

Found myself saying, we did that, more or less all the way through your vid although I substituted my fathers with car with my older brothers motorbikes at roughly the same age 14/15 years of age. I’m around 10 years older than yourself and since being your age, through to my age I have picked up one or two health issues (they’ve definitely taken their toll on the old body) so my question is: My 1200 GT Pro (I believe) is a bit of pig to get it up on the centre stand, when you’re refuelling which technique do you use,sit on the bike, get off the bike side or centre stand? Good vid enjoyed it, and agree with you 💯👍
@MOTOUK1Күн бұрын
Hi and thanks for tuning in. So I just use the side stand and get off the bike to fill up. Most petrol stations here now are asking bikers to get off the bikes to fill up. Cheers 🍻

Can't go wrong with a good rant. As with many countries, we've been living beyond our means for many years and just increasing borrowing, but at some point, we need to pay it back and that means our children picking up the tab. I live 30 miles from Hinckley, and my Tiger900RP was made in Thailand. Like it or not, labour is cheaper in the Far East. Many mainstream manufacturers are utilising facilities out there to keep proffits up and costs down. It will be interesting in the coming years on how the market plays out many of these big expensive bikes are financed on PCP and to a degree rely on a second hand market for the retuning vehicles.

I don't agree on the Tiger 800. I think it's great that manufacturers are thinking about price. If they don't, there is going to be a Chinese/india takeover. Yes, some premium features are lost, but I would suggest there will be fewer and fewer people out there with 20K + to splash on a new bike. (Especially if our government keeps taxing us to death)
@MOTOUK1Ай бұрын
Thanks Richard, we don’t have to agree and always great to hear what people think! I’m concerned for the 900 tiger as the 800 Sport engine has more horses, so just wondering where their development is going.

Triumph...I always saw the 850 Sport as a kinda cheap shot at cornering part of the market that didn't want the 900 yet reused much of that platform for an easy win. The 900 range is underpowered compared to its peers in my opinion and the 1050 was what people actually wanted to be continued rather than the 850. Had they done those things, an upgraded 660 sport makes sense...but as things stand I agree with you

Nice to see you out and about. The UK desperately needs growth which isn't going to happen. I work in the city of London and its the worst job market in 20 years layoffs everywhere. The UK is on an unsustainable fiscal trajectory due to the real growth rate of the economy, which should exceed the real interest rate and with debt to GDP over 100% this really matters. A larger deficit will overshoot the government predictions (OBR has confirmed) and in the coming years, this is going put inflationary pressure and will result in higher interest rates. Don't get me started on the green taxes and net zero commitments from the UK. UK has the highest energy prices of all G10 economies and commercial electricity prices are 4 to 5 times the level in France, so no wonder the UK cannot manufacture at scale. I was hoping the government would reduce corporation tax and increase the personal allowance with no more tax rises!!!!!
