After the experience I had with them, nearly 20 hrs of calls and 100 messages, it was only when I took it to social media that they started talking to me. I will not use them again… I have also heard people having similar issues on Expedia. I will from now find and contact hotels and properties direct moving forward.

@@drdoolittle5724 Hi 👋 So i have had many comments and people reach out to me since, telling me their stories and how even when paying booking direct they have turned up at apartments and hotels only to find out someone living in apartment and its not even rented, or hotels saying sorry we have no booking. When i have called booking over 40 times now, i get put through to a different person every time from their customer service teams that are remote all over the globe, think i have spoken to at least 10 different countries now off the one uk number they provide on their site. Really poor service zero infact and wont go near again.

I never ever pay anything with a bank transfer. Amex or credit card everytime. If they won’t accept it I’ll book somewhere else.

Never rains but it pours as they say. We almost got scammed by a low life who reckoned he owned a residential park in Cornwall and was taking peoples life savings off them . Fortunately my solicitor saved me by doing certain enquiries about the so- called five star park, and eventually the low life ended up doing time for it, but people never got a penny back. So could have been worse for you, if that’s any consolation. Thank you for the update, much appreciated.

Sorry you had all these problems. My sister used to work at Booking (in HR) a few years ago and I've booked many properties through them, including all my accommodation for the France tour last year. I guess it's the more expensive listings that are targets. I'm always very weary of paying with anything other than a credit card. Hope you get it sorted

What a frustrating situation!! i too have been scammed a couple of years ago, sadly it's an increasing trend. We are all be encouraged to use on line banking etc, but the scammers are having a field day, and it's only going to get worse. Anyway riding your Tiger should be good therapy. We had a bad experience with Inghams on a holiday & were getting nowhere with phone calls & emails so kept writing to the CEO & thankfully he ended up resolving it. Sorry to hear. Personally I’ve had no issues with booking but I’ve always payed by card through booking or at property. Personally I’m never happy bacs paying remotely. Personally I would have made the most of Tenerife especially if you payed for it, but it’s your money and time. I only say due there are a lot of bikers even by them selves would have enjoyed that opportunity but may not be able to due to many reasons. I hope things pick up for your self. I’m tide up with business this year but aim to have a few long weekend rides up to Scotland and other uk locations though. And only have a week off for family holidays. Don’t get me Wong I consider myself very fortunate and lucky. Even in negative situations there are positives and sometimes it’s better to make the most of it than go running with your tail behind your legs.

We went to say goodbye to him and it was just awful to witness him suffering , so, we must count our blessings.
