Rewatching older games, and I just can’t help but feel like this game was one I wish I had appreciated more as it was going on. Look at that Helmer bench after KP’s big home run in T5. You rarely see them getting that fired up and throwing shots into the other dugout. These two teams didn’t like each other between the lines but kept it fun to watch. Every game was a battle, and I’m looking forward to the next clear rivalry at the major level. The lively crowd definitely added to the intensity too! Thank you, DW, for doing this for all of these years.

Why didnt they have a HR limit? I love to see HRs and i recognize their ridiculous power, but 27 by one team in a game kinda takes away from the sport. When half the hits are homers, you need to do something different.

A couple of things I noticed about this game was resmondo hit 27 homeruns. Wow that’s a lot for the stadium. Two how about how those guy feed off each other. How one out doesn’t effect them, the next guy up gets the job done. I love how these guys root for each other and when someone hits a homerun or scores all the guys go out of the dugout and congratulates them. Resmondo had on two different occasions back to back to back to back homeruns. Riley showed the world why he’s the number one player in the game. In my opinion resmondo has three of the top five players in the game (Riley, KP and Bradley Jones) Mashburn and Collins are the other two who make up the top five players in the country. But credit must be given to Smash it sports/new breed. They didn’t lay down or give up and n a couple of occasions they had some good rallies to take the run rule out. Congrats to both teams for great years. Next year starts when the last out was made. At least it would have for myself. Thank you DW for all the videos you do and for putting them online so we can watch them. Congrats to Helmer. As for wegman , I got to play with you years ago when you came to Louisville Kentucky and played in a tournament with Cobbie. We all saw the talent you had and we all knew it was a matter of time before you showed the world who you were. You didn’t let anyone down. If you retire then congrats on a hall of fame career and good luck to whatever you do next.

Riley KP Mack Clark Jones Yates Connell Wegman What a ridiculous lineup. They could be Team USA with just those players. The last 2 years in the MWS championships, they were playing Home Run Derby. 8t would have been cool to see Wegman get recognized like Don Jr.

Yes any pitch can be hit but the goal is to have a 70% on base percentage which can only happen if you swing at strikes. If you swing at bad pitches you will have a 60% on base percentage and you will be sitting the bench.
