I surfed seaside in 1974 and 75 a lot and it was usually uncrowded. but swamis and Cardiff reef. were crowded even. then. now its insane. I am thrilled I got lots of waves in my time. now I just walk my dog

Swamis is so good but dang that crowd is off the charts. I surfed it on a winter swell years ago and I got 3 waves in 3 hours. If you didn't have a longer board it was almost impossible to snag a wave. Wow you are totally dialed on your switch foot. I'm guessing you are a goofy first though.

Surfed a massive swell there years ago. Biggest mistake I ever made. Most dangerous thing was the 90% of absolute idiots who never should have even paddled out. Never went back.
