Nope it was Len Carlson who provided the vocals to Swamp thing. Ironic thing though, Carlson also voiced Senator Robert Kelly on the X-Men(90s) show & everyone knows that Kelly was the infamous senator who rallied the anti-mutant lobby. And here he is doing a great job voicing one hell of a mutant hero!! Now, that's amazing ;)

@mastermonarch Swamp Thing is alread an acclaimed Comic Book series by Alan Moore. Running in the mid 80's, it pretty much created the Vertigo imprint and proved to an audience that mainstream comics could be poignant, poetic and dark. And Alan Moore didn't even created the character! This is loud, brash, cheesy. But at least it's a little fun.

Too bad, I guess the Swapy/Abby lovemaking bit might have been intense for a kiddie cartoon trying to peddle their Swampthing toys, The Moore stories were the best apart from Wein and Wrightson's work but you really couldn't get something to equal them in a conventional cartoon anyways, I notice they used (stole) some elements of Steve Bissette's artwork just on the surface, of course they did the same thing in that eyesore film 'Return Of The Swampthing'

+TroyTroodon: The movie and "Return of" sequel (upon which this cartoon was loosely based) made him an ecological hero, ala Captain Planet. He is keeper of The Green - plant powers that manifest whenever someone ruins the ecosystem of the Swamp in which he resides - but Alan Moore rewrote _Swamp Thing_ from a man-turned-plant into a plant monster believing that it was Alec Holland instead of actually being Alec Holland (later revisions combined the two into a singular Swamp Thing that is a transfigured Alec Holland with memories of the plant monster version, giving him an identity crisis). Luckily though, most versions of the creature still follow the Alec Holland good guy version.

Nice of them to give Len Wein and Berni Wrightson a creators credit here, Too bad this show was such a cheeseball toy commercial that it's something of a badge of shame for both gentlemen here.
