Creepiest thing about the second story was the kid whose brother “did something” with his step sister that literally ended his mom’s marriage causally saying his hobbies included breaking and entering and breaking other people’s shit. Florida Man in training.

About that story of Table Rock South Carolina. I was born and raised here and I have never heard anything spooky about Table Rock and I am 60 years old. My Dad is 80 so I will ask him about it. But I do know some places in SC where you would not want to Be after dark. My Dad and Stepmother lived there. And I have spent a little time there. I never want to be there again. It was out in the country in Roebuck. But the worst things happened to the people that lived there after my Dad and Family moved out. They were part family too.

Yeah, that Swiss army knife is a real weapon 😂😂😂 If you go camping (especially young women by themselves) you need to bring actually weapons. If you cannot bring a firearm (due to state laws or lack of access) you should at the very least bring a axe or a machete. If you cannot own a actual firearm buy a black powder revolver. It may not be ideal but you only have to be 18 to buy/own one, they arent even considered firearms legally, you have 6-8 shots, they're cheap and they can save your life.

@@BetterCallThall good code name for an out in the wild scenario, let me set the stage. You and some friends are out in the wild outdoors and you spot a rake tracking you and your friends but it didn't see you seeing it. So you can warn your friends out loud by saying " hey, if anyone is interested I put the (black yard broom) at 30', 2 o'clock " wink, wink. Then you have some time to Google - how to deal with an African Americans Rake.

Anyone have an opinion about the Deep Woods presented story? I have been hiking in mountainous desert area's, alone, not the smartest thing, but i enjoy the solitude. There is always an eerie feeling of being watched. Walking through a slot canyon on a privately owned area, and I look up, nothing there, but in my mind there is. You hear stories of skin walkers and spirits of the first People who onced walked these grounds, maybe their still watching.

I hate to be that person but the Rake isn't real. It started as a creepypasta story, similarly to how Slenderman gained notoriety. There's a difference between cryptids/legends and an outright fictional creature created on a site that was made for horror stories. Same with any story that involves a staircase- I immediately dismiss those as fiction. The 'staircase in the woods' trope started with Nosleep search and rescue story series. They are a brilliantly frightening series, but a bunch of 'true' stories have spawned from them. I love your channel regardless!

The black 'rake' could have been covered in mud or something. The rake-type creature is called different things, but I think there is overlapping confusion between a physical creature and a non-physical entity.

I just discovered your channel. I love these stories, but kind of curious as to why so many of these stories have the over used term "that being said" in them (that being said, that said, having said that all act as segues to a statement which reverses what has just been said. As in, "I love these stories. That being said, I am sad to realize that they are not real submissions.") Is it supposed to be obvious that these stories are all crafted by the same author? I wanted to believe that these were all randomly submitted by listeners, creative writing endeavors or not.
