To the first story: Yes. To put it overly simply, Skinwalkers are humans who have gone wrong by way of having twisted spirits... in the modern age, there's nothing to stop a skin walker from traveling in their human form.

Also, other countries and continents have creatures very similar to "epidermis pedestrians" . Like, in Europe a fleshgait is basically the thing, they just mostly use human skin rather than animal pelts.

@@Lokian_MermaidTbf fleshgaits are just a 4chan cryptid. But there are many different types of skinwalker like shapeshifters all over the world (witches who take on the form of animals). For example in Mexico there’s naguales or in Cuba there’s guije

Being in England where we,hopefully, don't have skinwalkers, everything I know is gleaned from various books and KZbin Channels, like this one, so please excuse me if I sound ignorant. Can a skinwalker pass 100% as human, once that human has taken on the skinwalker form? Is there no degeneration of their human form if they do take the SW form often? I have often wondered if they could travel to other countries, but wonder why they would? I mean England is so small compared to other countries, especially the USA, would it be worth travelling? Also would a human who is a SW live a normal life... family, work etc?
@Lokian_Mermaid2 ай бұрын
@@tomiebaby4484 Yes, exactly. Basically what I was saying and there is a lot of overlap in abilities and appearances. I always say that evil forces want to hurt and corrupt ALL humans all over the world. They don't care about the human made concepts of race, culture or borders. So, it makes sense to me that they'd make similar offers to humans all over the world with maybe some variation in methods/rituals. Long before there were humans on the American continent, ancient, Australian Aborigines already had warnings and stories about the same kind of creature/witch as Saw's. I know what it's called, just not sure if I should say/type it. 🤷🏻♀️😂
@Lokian_Mermaid2 ай бұрын
@@nutty77 Well, originally, they were meant to be protectors until some became corrupted and changed how they become ski- w*lkers. I don't know for sure if any shamans still become the good kind, but my friend has seen a few in his town. However, he might be seeing other kinds of shifters. They don't bother anyone, they go about their own business and when he sees them around town, they are polite and they know he's aware of their "abilities". But, I have heard a few reddit stories of SWs living in communities in their human forms and even though ppl might sense something is not quite right about them, they look like regular humans. (Heck, a person doesn't have to have evil powers to be evil. Like serial k-llers don't have magic but lots off ppl can sense their evil hearts and minds).🤷🏻♀️

Hearing his voice sends me into a wave of nostalgia. I only discovered him less than two years ago but it feels like a lifetime ago. I haven't listened to him since Christmas of 2022, but all the shit I've been through since the day I'm remembering makes me really wonder how I'm still alive. Two years can feel like ten when your whole life changes the way mine has, for the better. ❤❤❤ That's not related to the video I just felt the need to say it😂

More maneuverability and less linear movement even if slightly slower. Same reason that prey can escape cheetahs even though they’re the fastest land animals.

It's interesting to see how much similarities different regions of the world share with each other. Skinwalkers and wendigos might be North American/Canadian thing but the core consept, shapeshifters and man-eating monsters with unknows/malicious intentions, is far from unique.

I always want to listen to these but immediately get turned off by the awful writing. Can we get some fake stories that ARENT written by teenagers? The second story he used the word match like 7 times in one paragraph. The worst part about young teens writing is that they dont use any variety in their vocabulary. Call it a game, then a match, then a session, then a round, then a mission or level or literally anything other than using the word Match EVERY time you refer to playing the game

I love your videos on both your channels SD. But I do wish you'd be a little less "dramatic" when telling these kinds of stories. Idk, maybe it's just me, but oftentimes you sound like you're narrating a trailer for a Michael Bay Transformers film lol. My favourite channels/narration style are those that just feel like a casual conversation you're having with a friend who saw/heard some weird shit sometime. Like early Roanoke Tales videos. Also i hope youre doing okay after that recent hurrricane. Been through quite a few cyclones myself, and they ain't no joke ❤

I’m sorry but that first story makes such a HUGE leap to thinking it’s skinwalkers. To say there’s no one around his age makes him sound like a teenager. Factually, all he said is it sounded like a dog. Subjectively, he began to hit all the horror tropes: sounds like it’s imitating a dog (so this kid knows what cougars and mountain lions sound like?), sounds like a speaker on repeat, dead quiet at night, etc. He could’ve at least said he mistaken branches for a possible creature with antlers to tie it to skinwalkers. But as it stands, sounds like a couple of kids who stepped onto their porch and then got scared. Edit: Just finished the second story. Ended with “who knows what it’ll do if we cross paths again?” Answer is nothing. Nothing. You were alone, in the dark, and was face to face with this thing. Sounds like literal inches if it was tapping the window and you pulled the curtain back. And it did nothing. If there was ever a time for it to do something, it would literally be when you were inches from its face. So next time y’all cross paths…it’ll do nothing. You’re good, homie.
