As a former RuneScape creator, and as an overall KZbin creator of 14 years, it legitimately baffled me when people suggested the idea that you died in order to milk the series. If those people were paying attention even in the slightest, they would see this series is not successful purely because you're a location locked account. Maybe initially it was in some sense, but you proved very quickly that you are an entertainment titan. Your ability to tell an absolutely fantastic story is a truly unique trait that many will view as easy, until they try it for themselves. It's not easy, especially not to the level you tell those stories. Someone like you has the capability to come up with other challenges, or subjects that challenge the norm in many distinct ways. So the idea that you would die, in order to create a single episode that would ultimately take 1000's of hours to make is just silly. If you wanted to milk the series, you would have just put less content into each episode. You could have made episodes about each single skill or item grind. You could have made the episodes shorter. You could have done so many less obvious things to milk the series, but you didn't, because your commitment to making a good and entertaining product is obvious. As someone who see's the effort you put into this series, I apologize on behalf of those who don't. I look forward to seeing the re-build streamed. It's a great idea. And I look forward to any and all future projects that you aspire to create. So long as they capture the same "thinking differently / thinking smart" mindset that has been shown on the Swampletics series, I'm around for the long haul.

Maybe cause they never really believe in the sponsor or whatever. But come on, take the sponsor. @@DelPlays the entirety of that post doesnt matter because you're rationalizing the thoughts of people who dont care about the creator and see them as free content, they EXPECT free content. they're ungrateful people who take content creators for granted and so their opinions on that really dont matter. if they dont understand why people have sponsors then it doesnt matter, the few people he wouldve lost from it are not 4/5 of his audience so its 100% worth it from a business perspective. the only reason, which i respect a lot, for him to not have sponsors on these videos is because its his artform and he doesnt want sponsors on it. thats all that matters, if he doesnt want the extra money because he likes the videos better that way then thats his choice, NOT the viewers choice. those sponsors bring in a fuck ton of money and would 100% outweigh the few self righteous losers who think sponsors "devalue" a FREE video. because their opinion is just wrong.

This is going to be a long read, but now more than ever I feel the need to get it out. I want to thank you more than anything for this series up to its current point. In February of 2019, I was in the darkest place in my life, constantly terrified I was going to lose someone in my life due to circumstances out of my control. Something that put me in the depths of anxiety and stress. I happened across your first swampletics video as a result of the youtube suggestions tab, and, at the time, it was the first time i had heard of an Ultimate Iron Man account. Starting to watch your videos, and follow the releases as they happened, helped me find a place of joy for even a little bit of my day. It helped me get a sense of my bearings with regards to my time management. To see what has happened to the account... well like you said, nothing to do but pick up and the pieces and continue forward. And that's exactly the mentality that helped me get through the toughest time in my life, so from one person who had to pick themselves up by the collar and dust yourself off, thank you for everything you have done for us as a community.

@@EsthusIvhonnir I dislike that kind of logic. I think it unjustifiably dismisses a group of people's opinion by saying "Oh you think that, you must be terrible in these other ways too" without really providing any evidence. As well it kind of makes the whole thing overly personal when I don't think it has to be. For example if I said "I'm trying to eat vegan" and then immediately afterward described my egg omelet with cheese you'd probably say something. Not because you're personally bothered that I am not actually eating vegan but because it's very likely I'd mistaken veganism and vegetarianism in some way or might be inconsistent in the restrictions I'd put on myself. I think the same thing applies here, he's trying to accomplish a goal with the minimum number of departures from the region as possible. That's the way he wants to play the account. I don't think people are in the wrong for interpreting that more restrictively than others or arguing for their own perspective. After all that is how Settled himself has interpreted his own restriction and is why he hasn't done those quests even though a large amount of the community supports him doing so. Personally this is the first time I've ever commented on the subject and I would support him playing in whatever way he finds fun since the videos are always engaging, but I don't think it's right to say people are probably abusers just for interpreting something you might disagree with and I'd be wary of that kind of logic in general.

I have never posted any comentary in your videos and, at first, i started watching because youtube recomended it for me back when you posted the first swampletics video. I was curious about this game that i havent played in years. Turns out that ive been watching since then, even though i have no clue about somethings in the game, the way you explain things, comment and edit your videos is mind blowing good. I was never aware how emotionally invested i was in this series until your last video. I literally cried while you explained the situation and just then i realized how much this series meant for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making the series and im looking forward for your next videos (not necessarily swampletics or runescape related). Youre an awesome content creator and i hope everything turns out great for you!

I've been watching this series since episode 1. Hands down my favorite thing to watch on KZbin. The uploads are infrequent enough that I get surprised and excited when your new videos show up in my feeds. Your content is amazing and I can't wait for you trailblazer videos as well as your rebuild. Tonnes of love to you and your IRL struggles. We've all been there and im happy you're doing well and are in a better place. :)

Look, let me sum up my feelings on this as simply as I can instead of going into a massive comment. Your content is some of the best in RuneScape history. Watching you make this grind has been as entertaining as any TV show I've watched before. And we all know that TV shows have moments of darkness that get overcome in epic fashion with the finale, so I'm looking forward to seeing you bounce back from this and rise even higher than before. The silver lining to this is that we get to see even more of your content and I will NEVER complain about that. You can do it, you swamp madman. We support you.

We are alot of people that will always follow you no matter how you decide to put out content - either through streaming or videos on youtube. I firmly believe that the best content will come from a feeling inside of you that YOU are in command and YOU decide how, when and what will be available to the public masses. Just want to thank you for the years of amazing content. A new video from the Swampletics series has seriously been the highlight of the day - and not because of Swampletics, but because of YOU, the man creating the series. No matter what account you play I am sure it will have the same amazing feeling aslong as there is passion within it. Remember to take care and put yourself ahead of everything else.

Hey Settled. I wanted to start off by saying that I appreciate everything you have done for this series, as it truly is my favorite RuneScape series on youtube, and I am certain that many others in the community feel the same way. I can't stress enough how unfair the whole community has treated and formed opinions of you since the release of the last episode (and the last couple of months in general). I can't say I know exactly how you feel with the stuff going on in your personal life, but I can say that I have been through similar experiences and wanted to assure you that things will only go up from here. Closing a chapter in your life such as the one you just went through is truly challenging both mentally and physically, but when it is all said and done, you will be left with a much stronger character and many valuable life lessons. I truly appreciate the fact that even with everything was going on, you were dedicated to the series and providing content to us all. I know I would have not blamed you if you took a lengthy break from youtube to focus on yourself, and I am positive that many others would have understood as well. Regardless, you kept your focus on a series that have provided thousands with hours of enjoyable content. Please do not be so hard on yourself, as mistakes happen to everyone, especially when your mind is in a million different places at once. Following the release of the last episode, the response from many in the community (especially on Reddit) was absolutely deplorable. Many tried to degrade you when you were at your absolute lowest without any way of knowing if what they were saying was factual, and I'm sure seeing some of this stuff did nothing but crush your already shattered mental health. I hope you don't let these things get to you, especially when they're things out of you control. You seem like a really likable guy and are still very young. I can only imagine the things you will certainly accomplish in the future. I know it is so cliche, but things really do get better. Keep being yourself and you will have no problem forming the healthiest of relationships with someone that loves you for who you are. I know it's likely that you will not even read this, but if you do, feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to about anything. I'm sure your friends around you are more than willing to talk about things with you too, as I'm sure they already have. Keep your head up, man. I, as well as many others, will always be here for you. Thanks for everything and good luck going forward my man.

Been doing a lot of shedding the bad dynamics in my life as well, and its really refreshing to hear your perspective on all of this. I'm glad you're taking this as a new challenge to overcome, and not something that ended your momentum. Ive been going through a dark time myself the past while, and while I'm starting to come out of it now, I was so wrapped up in my life that i wasn't making time for the things that made me happy, and I wasn't prioritizing my needs above what I felt I was supposed to be doing. Coming out of that, feeling my passions again and wanting more for myself than what others tell me I should want has been beautiful. Through that time though, if I ever was opening youtube to put on music to help me get through whatever tasks I had to do that day, and saw a new swampman video, I'd take the 20 minutes and watch it because it was one of the few things I didn't feel guilty about spending time for myself on. I wasnt even playing the game because it felt like I was wasting my time, your videos were my 20 minute glimpses into something that has always brought me joy. Figured I'd add that last part in because I'm sure there were times you were questioning how much this means, and to me, it was a whole fucking lot. Sending you all my love brotha, want you to know you'll never be alone in your fight with your mind, were all in this together. This is going to be a lesson to so many people that life goes on, amd we can overcome any odds life throws at us if were determined. I can't wait to see you finish the theater.

Our early 20's are filled with these experiences, it'll all fall apart a few more times, and it will hurt just as bad the next time. As long as you keep pushing though, you realize every time you get knocked down and get back up, you get stronger. Just keep that compassion towards your friends, and always have their backs, and keep building eachother up. In the end, when it all falls apart, having people who you love with all your heart will make you realize, thats the only thing you need to have. Everything else will always be transient, but as long as you keep trying to foster love in the connections you have with good people, while cutting the bad ones out, you'll never have need for anything.
