I bought couple of blade blanks and made two custom knives using similar technique. I used a home made mini press (2 pieses of wood, 2 threaded rods and 4 butterfly nuts with washers) to keep everything tight while drying. For the shaping I used a cheap belt grinder. Then I finished them off with the stripes of sandpaper. Both knives turned out great! I gave the first knife to my father and the second one to my best friend. I can tell by their reactions how much they appreciated the gifts. Great video! Liked and subscribed immediately 👍👌🔪

Nice handle. Much more attractive than plastic. The last one I made was stacked leather. It turned out great. I soaked the handle in boiled linseed oil for a week or so. It took a really long time to fully dry but now it is as hard as a rock and it polished up well. I enjoy adding nicer handles to lower priced knives especially if the steel is high quality.

What a brilliant bushcraft Mora knife, Skye. Question. Colin's, Ray Meer's Axe. "On display inside a cabinmate!" Alternatively, Skye to repurpose this axe! into a real tool, retuned to save the hands of the skilled operative, plus a leather collar. Should do it. Cheers
