I was sure glad to see you fill around that pipe with 57's . They'll never have a problem with that joint . Regarding the message : that was my wife and mine's prayer this morning , to give back to the Lord by glorifying him through our lives the way we live and hopefully we'll be seen as peculiar to the world when we go out . God blesses us so much every day and I know we can't out give him but he gives so much it makes me feel I ain't doing enough and pray for opportunities to tell someone about him . I mean that's the best way I can think of to give back. I appreciate the message Sam , thanks

Hello Sam, my name is Dave. Im glad i found your channel. Ive been a heavy equipment operator for 30 years now. My specialty is an Excavator. You're an inspiration with your talent and the words you speak. I came across your channel trying to learn all i can about the trimble earthworks gps system. I work for a big outfit here in Lexington Kentucky. I'm familiar with the system but there is a lot of things I need to learn on it. Im originally from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. I've been binge watching your videos. I told my wife I would love to go down and hang out with you and I said if that ever happened maybe I could get with you and work with you for a day or so. I told her that I wouldn't even expect to be paid. The word of God is something I need more than anything. I need him back in my life. I've grew away from him over the years. I would like to thank you and to keep doing what you've been doing.

Hey David I appreciate what you said and welcome to the channel. Trimble was a great investment and I’m glad to have it , especially working by myself. Hey I’m glad to hear the message was a blessing to you and you want to restore your relationship with the Lord! That is the most important thing we can do. Maybe somewhere along the way we will meet. I’m kind of planning to go to the Louisville Expo Center later this year, if I’m not mistaken there is going to be a trade show there. Will have to check on that to make sure it’s this year… Thanks and God Bless Sam

Great video. I agree we all should show our light and faith everyday, not just on when the church doors are open. So many are just Sunday Christians. I know that from experience from being out of church for a few years, a Sunday Christian can discourage many. It is really discouraging to the ones that have been out of church and see the way some are, especially preachers. That is what has discouraged me the most. I know people are people and are not perfect, but they should show and act like they are Christians. Sorry to ramble thanks Sam and keep up the great work.

In some ways, I liked the video the way you did it. It's interesting to watch the action without commentary and just see the progress being made. On the other hand, I'd rather have the interaction with the content creator because it seems more personal to me. I guess that's why as Christians, we have the ability to go before the Father in prayer, tell him how we are feeling, ask for forgiveness, and to ask Him to heal, provide, and comfort us in our times of need. It's the personal relationship in prayer and church worship that keep us close to God. Thanks for the message and sharing your work day.

Could you help me understand the reasoning behind using rock around the pipe? I'm curious because I would typically backfill with dirt and then top it off with stone, which might save some money. Just looking to understand your process better. Thanks!
@tristardiggin9 ай бұрын
Basically used for the compaction rating. You find different numbers on the internet but typically 57s will be 90% or so compacted just by dumping it in place. Then after running a compactor across it you will get almost no settling running accross it. It is very difficult to get dirt compacted around the bottom of the pipe up to about halfway of the pipe and then when you compact dirt around the top half you will have a maintenance/repair issue as the dirt begins to settle over time. I will be running the dump truck weighing around 66k and also concrete trucks will be crossing it as well. Rock is just a better way to go because of compaction. Hope that helps out some… Sam

There is a guy in Sapulpa ok that has a pipe yard that his old grandfather started years ago. It has grown so big now that the grandson has it. But he had a piece of property across the highway from it and it was nothing but a 25 foot deep washout that flowed big time after a good rain. They put a couple pipes like that but about twice that size. It was no time that it started not working so he took them out and went and got a bunch of boulders and filled it in with them and then topped it off with rip rap the gravel then he concrete it all he gained a couple acres of parking. They have 2 school buses with the flashing lights and brings all his help to work like that. It’s interesting how all that water flows through it like that.

Thanks Dave and I agree that God will give us the wisdom, James 1:5 makes that clear to us. However, we shouldn’t cast aside well written Bible based commentaries to help us understand the Bible. Over time there have been some great preachers who share the meaning of scripture through verse by verse commentary that helps us every day folks understand… God Bless, Sam
