I agree with your new tree "cutting" technique. I'd like to offer another suggestion to it though. Try putting one of the excavator tracks on the downed log to hold it steady. Then put the bucket under it, clamp the thumb on it, and lift. In my opinion this is much easier on the machine (and operator), offers much more control, and works every time, compared to bashing the bucket down onto it. Give it a try.

Hey Tristar, great video. From my experience with clearing and burning the best method to starting a wet pile is to pick up some used pallets 4-5 stack them up and lay your best material onto them and start with a small amount and gradually add a bit onto it at a time. Of course the propane tiger torch helps great too. I like the idea of your blower as well. But I have burned green wood covered in snow by starting it with some pallets you can usually get them for free from lots of different places

What was the trick on getting that water to drain that Justice showed you?
@tristardiggin2 күн бұрын
I didn’t see there being enough slope to be able to get the water to move to the lower side of the property. His suggestion was to dig a trench with a 3/4% slope (all that was possible) that would let the water flow to the lower side of the property.

As much as I appreciated the 1st portion of your video about your method of calculating am estimate for a quote, the question that comes to my mind is why did you choose to mix business and your personal faith beliefs? Have you ever found that you have lost prospective jobs because you have mixed personal beliefs with business?
@tristardiggin2 күн бұрын
@@ScottFollansbee-b6p Scott that is a valid question! I mix my faith with my work because it is my faith that defines my life and the way I do my work. At the end of our lives it will not be about all the jobs we got or the money we made or whether our faith offended someone. It will simply be about how we lived our lives as believers or nonbelievers. Sharing my faith is far more important, with eternal consequences, to me than any job that I loose or channel growth that is lost. When we realize how important faith in Christ is the things the world has to offer is of no eternal value. No Christ no peace, know Christ and know peace. But to answer the main question, I am unaware if there has ever been a job lost because of my faith… God Bless, Sam And as a side note, read through all of the comments on this channel and you will see why I share my faith. God’s word always encourages and changes lives and I hope that for you as well…

Woohoo! Another TSD video. Sometimes, it's a struggle to get a project going in the right direction. Keep scratching and you'll get there. Have you ever dug a small trench to put your fire on top of? I saw a commercial site that was cleared, and they dug a trench, put the straw bales in it, stacked the burn material on top of that, and used a blower to force air up into the middle of the pile through the trench. It worked great for them. They actually used a tow behind fan unit, but a lead blower would be sufficient on a smaller scale. Nice message and thanks for sharing, Sam. Be safe.
@tristardiggin2 күн бұрын
