Swampy Slide Blues with foot percussion

A rare day with time and opportunity to work on the One Man Band concept. I keep working on the muscle memory for the foot drums and it is flowing easier now. Here, I've been playing around with mic set up and I think this sounds pretty good. I've got a Shure Beta 91A underneath the foot drum, a Shure KSM27 for vocals that aren't on this track (because I'm still working on that skill), and Sennheiser E906 on the ValveTrain Bennington Reverb. All into a Bose ToneMatch. A little compression, eq, and reverb. Playing my Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Class 5 tuned in E into Valvetrain Ghost211 pedal, into Hermida Zen Drive, into ElectroHarmonix Pulsar. Hi Ted, this is a Farmer Foot Drum. Check them out. It’s a great instrument, really well made and totally worth it. Pete Farmer makes these personally and he puts a lot of attention into them. Really expands your options and approach to performing.

Thanks! That is all played on the Farmer Foot Drum. It truly is a genius design, the snare, hat, and some shakers are all inside the frame and the pedals are lined up. You should check it out.

It's the standard size that comes on the Farmer Foot Drum and it actually does have a pretty big sound for such a small kick. On this video, it does have some compression and eq upping the low frequencies so it does sound bigger with that. I was running everything into my Bose ToneMatch. Used a Shure Beta 91a underneath the kit.
