My aunt had her wedding reception in Eastcote house, I never understood why they knocked it down though, they've never done anything with the grounds.

I lived in Ruislip in those times. Now it’s a foreign country of course (in this “great” “democracy” of ours). BTW. It’s pronounced lie-dow.

1950s Ruslip is like Ruislip now. The best thing about the place is that there are five train stations to get you out of there
