Swan Boats Now Open at WEM (Birds of Paradise) - Best Edmonton Mall

We've seen those swan boats and flamingo boats at West Edmonton Mall for awhile now. Well, they're finally open under the name of "Birds of Paradise". These pedal boats will let you explore the West Edmonton Mall lake, something that hasn't been available to do in many years.

I love the idea of exploring the lake, but who likes paddle boats? They take SO MUCH energy to move, and you go so slowly. I'd love to do it in a kayak, or a canoe with a paddle or something like that.

@@JustysFrank I never said they were hard, they arent energy efficient. Any tard can pedal, simple, easy. The paddle rotating and slapping the water, is lost energy, if it were a submerged propeller, it would go much faster.

Rode this with my daughter she had fun... BUT, it's overpriced and not an especially memorable experience for anyone but a 4 year old (shhhh... I mean 6 year old. Ridership rules say 6 and above lol.) I couldn't help but wish I could have shared the submarines with her instead. That was truly unforgettable and I rode it several times as a child. Would have loved that. Do you have a video on why the ship changed names? Also does anyone else find the retail side of WEM lacking. When I visit with my wife and two kids from Calgary we always get the pass, do some restaurants, theme park, water park, and other attractions. But I didn't even shop at all last night, and my last three trips didn't even buy or feel tempted to buy anything but a stuffy toy for my kids. It's pretty meh these days.
