I love how they show how tired she is after the 42 fouettes. This experienced dancer, who has been doing ballet her entire life, still is completely wiped out by this. It's a good lesson for a dancers. That ballet, with time, becomes easier, but never becomes easy.
@gabooper10 жыл бұрын
it's actually 32 :) but in this version they do double pirouettes in between fouettés sonits technically not 32 fouettés but more pirouettes in that coda section

Zenaida is a pure delight and Nehemiah is the dreamiest man in ballet.

Nehemiah Kish is so regal. He is so perfect for the role of Siegfried. Zenaida, what can I say, her Odette is very unique. No one will ever do it her way again

Being a quite tall ballet dancer myself (5'9"), I find it refreshing to come across another very tall ballerina who dances so elegantly! Brava Zenaida Yanowsky!

I just watched her coaching Swan Lake. Comments kept mentioning she was a beautiful ballerina. Had to search for more videos. I don’t dance but am mesmerized watching ballet rehearsals

How wonderful to see Donald McCreary with these two great dancers in their Swan L. Rehearsal. And the accompanist is always a treat with the finest of rehearsals.

I want to find a tape of this pair in 'Swan Lake'. They seem like the characters in a way you see only infrequently.....

Nice filming and editing - and wonderful to see Zenaida and Nehemiah rehearsing, especially after seeing Marianela and Thiago doing the same thing. It is fantastic to get behind the scenes and see what is, for me, the most interesting part of ballet.

when i hear dancers say, "he has no secret agenda..." or some variant thereof, i'm always astonished. i don't understand why any dancer would want to make the other look bad or ruin the ballet for their partner. i mean, if one parter looks amazing, doesn't the other automatically look equally so by proxy? if they work together to make each other look the best they can, they will both come out of the ballet looking amazing and everyone will remember that performance, which is the ultimate goal, yes?

Our egos, and we all have one, sometimes make us behave in contradictory, unproductive and unhelpful ways, all in an effort to further some self-serving goal - which makes us very, very human.
@bethkrager65293 жыл бұрын
@@avesraggiana indeed. Beautifully said. The self serving simply comes from caveman survival instincts.

eightysevenf french twist or french pleat with the free hair pinned on top,not tucked in.

She uses a hair comb! You can see the handle. Look up “French twist hair comb” and buy one. It makes it so much easier and hold better than with bobby pins.
