❤❤❤ Thank you for explaining how to mix colours I struggle with shadows for certain colour pallettes but you have helped me understand so much better. I really love how you taught us to highlight the swans with the white where the sun hits them. Also, I was so happy to have you recognize, and teach the reflection of the swans neck is definitely wonky. Some artists paint reflections the same as the object being reflected…and that’s not accurate because the water is moving. Thanks for teaching us correctly

It’s difficult when we have to do so much of mixing new colours when; 1) The colour looks different on the pallette than the canvas 2) the colour dries differently. 3) I don’t mix enough and then have to try and mix the exact same colour again. 😢 I’m also probably using too much water as I’m really conscious of how dry you’re applying the paint.

I am a bit of weirdo as I hardly use water. I use a wet brush and only dip it in water to keep it moist. But I do edit out all my dipping in water to move the video along. But buy having thicker paint you can get more vibrancy in your colours. As for things not matching, again that happens to everyone including me all the time. It just is what it is. With your acrylics drying to quick. Try buying a mist spray bottle for plants 🪴. Great for keeping your palette 🎨 wet and stopping your paint drying up. Hope that helps 👍
