Swan River Lure fishing! Flounder, Flathead and Tailor

The zipbaits Rigge 70 in gold was on fire for a range of fish today. Bit of trawling and then picked up a few of the classic swan river fish.

Got my first flounder two weeks ago at claremont jetty. Was huge but as I don't really see em much I threw it back was tempted to eat it but had a brisket on the smoker at home. He is a lucky fishy

Fished Blackwall quite often for Tailor, never thought about beaching at that spot and chucking lures around for a break. May have to give it a go👍👍

Sort of safe, you do get flatty thumb, as their mouth is a bit like sand paper. If you have a rag no issue but ok with the little ones if hands are not too soft from the water👍

What braid are u using? It sounds very loud on the reel

Hey mate i was using 4lb pound fins braid, but the sound is from my line roller on my stradic which is common on the Ci4. I have since had it fixed and usually have to replace it every year as i use that reel almost weekly. Thankfully it is a quick and easy fix 👍👍

Also some cheaper lures for tailor would be awesome mate, I tried Applecross jetty on the halco twistie before going to Mosman Park but got nothing at Applecross. I then switched to Mosman Park to try for flatties and caught my first ever flattie on the white coloured slim swim. I noticed the slim swim got caned by blowies and I chewed through about 3 of them. Any recommendations for hard body lures that flatties love that won't break the bank? Thanks so much for the vids mate.

Hey mate some cheaper tailor lures would be the sure catch knight and bishop metals mate. For the flathead i would recommend buying one or two expensive hardbodies as you rarely snag them if you just use them on the flats. The cheaper hardbodies will work, but you will have trouble casting them as far Having said that you can get 5-10gram micro jigs for around 10-15 dollars that work well too👍👍

Hey mate they dont stock them at annaconda or bcf but a lot of the independent stores in perth have them. It you hit up zipbaits Australia on facebook they will let you know the closest to your area. What area are you in?

Are you watching on tv or through headphones? I dropped the music volume down significantly on this one but the music and sound is set to come through smart devices. Will see what i can do to fix it. I had no music on my old videos, but feedback was to add it in and seems to be better. Will keep tweeking. Appreciate the feedback always helps to make them better. I have a instructional video coming up so will pump up the commentry and less music 👍
