Man I appreciate this video. I'm from d.c. And been living in Htown and this slab culture has been growing on me. I guess it's time to make that trip to kings flea market and get bolted up. I'm diggin the Lincoln by the way. It still has that classic look and you didn't over do it. I might have to go with the regular pokes my car's wheel wells sit low and might rub on the spokes.

I always keep an eye out for spokes we call them by number spokes. True spokes, Cadillac has some, alliance spokes, bolt ons, cross laced, from what I understand they reversed rim to make them deep back in day.

THIS IS ALL THE WAY WRONG. First of all you cant compare TWW Elbows, they are not Cragars. Cragar originally made Elbows in 83-86. There are two major differences between 83's and 84's. 83's are nothing but 30s that poke out. In other words, they have 30 spokes. 84s on the other hand have a different pattern on the back spokes (the spokes have a bend in them), the spokes are a tad bit skinnier, and they poke out harder. Now keep in mind i'm talking about original Elbows, not this new TWW shit. When you listen to an old screw and you hear KeKe and Pat talkin bout "Shootin dem webs" or "Webbin" that are talking about 84s...because they look like Spider Webs. I used to trip out when i would go to the Nawf and them boys would have the years all mixed up...calling 83s 84s and vice versa.

no original Cragars have a lip on them and are usually Rear wheel drive, I have a set of 15 inch cragars on my 96 fleet.

RWD Swangas look funny in my opinion but you will need spacers or adaptors , I use 2 inch thick hub centric Steel adaptors for all 4 wheels so my wheels are not too tucked under the frame also the hub centric minimize the shaking

Tolbos I got a set of swangas from texan wire wheels I have a 04 deville on the Web site it says that it can fit front wheel drive after the guy sold them to me he said I will need something called a hub centric spacer so he gives me the guy number to call to get a set made he made them I got them and they wasn't made right because the hub of the rim was sitting right up on my brake calipars and he said he makes them all the time I sent them back so he going to make them 13 mm do every front wheel drive car have to use those spacers do I have to change my studs or get longer shanks

I have a rear wheel drive with 4 steel hub centric adaptors , from what I hear is that front wheel drive cars need spacers and if you have 15inch wheels you will need to have your brakes shaved but that's only for 15inch swangs , 17 or 20 you should be good without getting longer studs , I would advise that your spacers is made of steel because it gets hot behind your wheels and aluminum will melt or shift and could break your studs and the wheels could possibly come off ,the bigger the wheels an them long wheels are some heavy muthafuckas man swangs are made of steel so I would check into what's better for your studs and have the shop hook you up ,but you should be good if hese making your spacer wider to push it off your brake calipers , use the proper washers and long lugs and torqu them down

The difference in the 83's true spoke rim is that they don't stick out at all there deep dish rims while the 84's came exclusively on Eldorados Cadillac's and did stuck out...the proof is Cadillac never made 17 inch true spokes in 83/84 those are AFTER market rims!!!
