Hey Jet, I’m not a doctor but I work in the medical field. So take my comment with a grain of salt.. It sounds like you should maybe get your immune system checked if you haven’t already. It’s just a blood test to see if you have the right amount of infection fighting proteins in your blood. It’s definitely worth getting checked out though. Because even if you are only just getting these colds over and over, that is still not normal. There will be an underlying issue as to why you are prone to getting sick so often. All the best!

Hey Jet, I had a similar issue in the past. I did bloodwork and realized I was super low on Vitamin D. I started supplementing with it and I don’t get sick often at all. My immune system feels a lot better. Hope that helps

Maybe H. Pylori (bacterial infection in your stomach). Ask for a breath test on that. Look up the symptoms. Causes stomach issues, indigestion/acid reflux, nausea, stomach issues upon eating, etc. I had it for a while without knowing. Was able to cure it naturally. It sucks though. Just something else to check out while you are at the doctors. Easy to test for.

Acid reflux maybe? Try keeping track of what you eat. Citrus and chocolate, for example, aren’t very good for your stomach. Acidic foods as well, like those birria tacos could trigger it, and cause you to throw up.

Jet I think you should look in to whether or not you have histamine issues. I used to wonder why I was constantly sick and it turned out I have food sensitivities/allergies/histamine issues. It makes you feel like you have a cold/flu - the symptoms are quite similar. You could try a low histamine diet and see if you feel better? There are plenty of histamine food lists online. Hope that helps…

I can tell you why you're sick but with normal vitals nevertheless: YOU ARE CHEMICALLY SENSITIVE. I too have MCS {Multiple Chemical Sensitivities] and have the same problem all thru life. ALWAYS SICK BUT NEVER KNOWING WHY. The doctors won't tell you this, they're always looking for a bug or something.

Looks like an awesome trip! I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope they get you some answers. Odd to get the real sore throat then all the GI stuff. No rashes right? Some food allergies can be like that but I would expect some swelling, breathing issues, and rashes. I'd have liquid benadryl just in case. Got to get to the ER if breathing or swelling in the throat is involved as the benadryl won't help enough. They've probably already said this but try to keep your food bland for awhile. Avoid or minimize tea/coffee. I you have them have them in the am and make sure you eat a little first. The tannins can be really irritating and the caffeine loosens the sphincter from your stomach to the esophagus. Chilies and mint can do that too. No energy drinks. Don't eat and recline or lie down. You could try some probiotics. It doesn't solely sound like a GI thing though. I hope you feel better soon.

Great advice - he should definitely change his diet for a while. I have food sensitivities/allergies but don’t get swelling, breathing issues or rashes. I do get itchy sometimes but main thing is congestion, itchy throat, ears etc. Some days I feel like I have a cold/flu - allergies can knock you out!

It sounds like if you got sick after eating and going on the rides it might be gastritis or something stomach related. Try taking some TUMS before and or after you eat your food. Might notice a difference.

Have you considered a parasite or something along that line from the exotic foods you've tried? A friend of mine had a passion for exotic food and had random symptoms for over a year.
