Doing the swap on mine did everything but didn’t swap out the fuze box? Do I need to put the v8 fuze box?

You could possibly get the older style throttle body otherwise it's mostly the same

Yes we had to use the driver side from the tahoe but the passenger side we had to go to the junk yard to pull a mount from a v8 sierra/silverado

It’s a drive by wire, we swapped in the pedal and pulled harness from the Tahoe we pulled the motor from

What type of fuel lines did you use bro

Used stock lines from the v6, cut them and then cut stock fuel lines from a v8 and used an adapter to connect them

I just did an engine swap on 2001 chevy silverado v6 . Used a 5.3 2001 chevy silverado donor truck. But it shuts off in 2 seconds. How do I get it to stay running.

You can, but the trans that came with the 5.3 was actually freshly rebuilt so we used that one. But you can use the stock v6 transmission

I’m assuming around 1k if we were to swap in a stock motor, but we did cam oil pump springs and all gaskets

@@beto_lsx497 we didn’t use the stock trans since the Tahoe we got the motor has a fresh rebuilt trans so we just used that. But you can use the stock trans.

we’ve done a v6 manual to v8 auto, I think the v6 manual transmission does work with the v8 just will need the flywheel etc.
