Handy Hint: I’ve held yard sales all over the US in big cities & small towns. The one thing that people who show up early always want? Tools. They sometimes want rare items, but more often it’s to replace something they’ve lost or broken from a set they’ve had forever. You’ll make more than selling them for scrap if you go that route. 💜

If I had $5,000; I'd get a John boat, trailer and start magnet fishing the Ohio River around Wheeling or Steubenville. Steubenville was known to have 20-25 "kat" houses right on the bank of the river. For those who don't know what a "kat" house is, it's a house of prostitution and these houses ran from 1880 to about 1925. There used to be a dedicated trolley tracks which started in Cleveland, Ohio and ran all the way to Steubenville and in the early 1900's it was double tracked. On Friday nights and Saturday nights, the trolleys ran every hour back and forth until 4 a.m. in the morning. Cost for the trip from Cleveland to Steubenville was $.65 cents. Have no idea what the "ladies" cost.
