The goal should be to eliminate seasickness completely. This could be done with a SWATH hull like this, but with hydraulic struts to compensate for any motion. And perhaps ballast tanks to dynamically change flotation.

Great video, keep them coming. I'm imagining peddling on a cross between a SWATH and an electric bike, gliding into the market on a calm fresh morning.

A lot of other configurations are conceivable. For a bike, a SWASH (Single Hull) may be better, maybe in combination with hydrofoils. Also, propellers are very inefficient. As a bike rider is doing something around 60rpm, other forms of propulsion may be more efficient, such as caudal fins.

@@OceanBuilders hmm, neat, there are apparently some projects to use fins to propel boats: ntnudiscovery.no/en/fish-propulsion-mechanisms-replacing-water-jets-and-propellers/

I'm trying to imagine one of these on the proper scale to have a deck that is the same height as the lower deck in the current Ocean Builders seapod plan, and it seems quite massive to be up that high. Are there any renderings of a finished SWATH boat moored/docked to a finished seastead? The mechanism for docking would have to be something innovative too, I'd suppose, such as an electromagnet that holds the underwater SWATH foot up against the seapod's spar.

I love this video I have to make a sea drone in the shape of a swath. the project is to help local people in Lembongan Island - Bali - Indonesia to monitor seawater quality around the seaweed aquafarming. could you eventually help me with some specifications of your scale model swath that actually would save a lot of time? I am ready to give the credit to Ocean builders when I will do the video of the swatch. thanks in advance

No worries, I'm done doing videos for a while. No benefit to me spending my time on them and being public about anything these days is actually dangerous with the new normal.

@@seasteader9308 just ignore him mate, your subscribers always appreciate content (especially updates on your seastead construction/designs). You’re always going to get critics weather they’ve been primed by the Thai media or are just jealous that you’re the only person who’s actually gone out and tried building a seastead while they’re sat at home doing nothing to further the cause.
