WE NEARLY DIED INSTALLING THIS PART!
Join us as we install our RS4 fuel return valve upgrade. The OEM FRV provides up to 130 bar of fuel pressure, the RS4 one provides up to 136 bar, and is essential if you want to go for stage 2+ or more power on your car.
This is one of the most fiddly annoying jobs we have tried to do, some people have managed to do it very quickly but as far as I can tell from guides, the MK2 LCR has a smaller gap to access the valve compared to the Golf R and Audi S3.

Thanks! So many videos cut out the struggle and show a 4 hour frustrating install in 5 mins, which isn't what it's like for normal car enthusiasts.

I have an a3 8pa done all these mods I've been fairly lucky! You should have replaces the original clip on the pipe to the hpfp with a decent jublie clip but good videos man would like to see more!

That's cool, what colour is your A3? Are you running stage 2+ at the moment? Thanks for the recommendation and a few people said that, the only reason we didn't is because the day after we fitted this RS4 valve we were going to R-tech who would change the clip, if we ordered it online it would've taken a few days to arrive.. More videos are coming soon, we finished the build as is for now but have a bunch more videos coming soon. Once we have our house we will be going for more power

Stage 3 is going to be expensive haha. That was the plan, and may still be... After we have bought our house and saved up a bit, we were looking to get an R32 GTR but they're too expensive at the moment. On top of that we've put in thousands of ££ into KZbin and haven't had anything back (yet) lol. We have some projects next year that we want to get done so keep an eye out 😎

@@SwatiGurpreet very! Recently done the coil packs presure valve, rails, it's in tomorrow for rs3 injectors and k04 conversions!!! I'll let ya know how it goes, and stick with it you'll eventually get back more!

Change the dip stick 🦯 to the new revised one “yellow” as these older “orange” ones are known to go brittle and snap off getting caught up in the oil pick up pipe leading to a failing engine lack of oil circulation 👍🏼

Out of curiosity, did the guys at Rtech not recommend getting this done before the stage 2+ mapping? I had one fitted anyway but curious whether your map can be tweaked to take advantage of this now?

The guys at R-tech did recommend it, and thanks for noticing. We actually fitted this a few days before going to R-tech, but I messed up our upload schedule so it would have made the big R-tech video #101 not #100, so we had to release this afterwards haha.

Thanks man much appreciated. The R-tech boys do this everyday so will be a quick job for them. I found a few guides on this so thought it would be easy but then it became an absolute ball ache of a job lol

Does somebody knows when using a +160 BAR Fuel Rail Pressure Valve and Stage 3 High pressure fuel pump requires any upgrade in the cam follower?

My shop added it (RS4 valve) to my FSI GTI, same result with a leak!! :( hoping it isn’t the part but just needs adjusted and tightened properly. Any insight on how car runs now after better fuel delivery?

To be honest I didn't feel any difference after fitting this. The main reason we fitted this uprated FRV was because when a tuner tries to push past 350bhp or so, the stock FRV is the limiting part. So by upgrading this part, they can squeeze some more bhp and torque out of the stock fuelling system

The gap is exactly the same on the golf R, S3, Cupra R, K1 etc. Theres the same amount of room on all of them

I have planned out now to get a Turbo Technics hybrid and take my car to r tech next year, taking the L on the apr map as they want £600 to change software to ko4...

That's awesome! Which hybrid are you going for, is it similar to the TTE420? That's a lot just for the software.. As far as I know they have generic maps that they tweak for your car, it's not completely custom. I'm happy to be corrected though

If there's a tuner garage nearby they could fit this for you for a decent price. AKS tuning & R-tech offer to supply & fit for around £80 which isn't too bad.

The old one would be too limiting, so when we went for our remap with R-tech they would not be able to push the HP or torque as high

I was told it keeps the pressure higher in the fuel rails. Still have my valve but I cbf installing it lol

isn't the Fuel Return Valve screwed on the bottom of the HPFP ? What is this then?

This is the fuel pressure return valve, the OEM one is lower pressure so when you start going for higher power you need to uprate this one too. I believe the fuel pump one is to return the fuel as quick as possible, but you'll bottleneck at the manifold with an OEM fuel return valve + uprated HPFP. Doing both of these upgrades maximises the return and delivery of fuel in the engine bay

@@SwatiGurpreet thank you. Can you please tell me the part number for this rs4 valve and for how many bars it should be rated? Because I've seen some go all the way up to 165-170 bar . I think the normal rs4 valve for stage 2/2+ is just 135 bar or so, right?

@@comedyman112 the part number is 079 130 757, its rated at 135/136 bar. The oem one is 130 bar so this one allows enough for stage 2+. For stage 3 and more you need to 165+ bar custom valves

@@SwatiGurpreetand there we have it! I have this valve and am a bit scared to attempt the install. Going to remove the intake, clean the valves, install new injectors + the 136bar FRV at that time. Glad to hear your post-install thoughts.

This valve is needed to increase fuel rail pressure. You need this if you are going to run a stage 2+ map
