I remember back in the day I used to use Revlon Colorstay for oily skin when it was 30°+ (90f) and it stayed on pretty good.
@LunarEleven8 ай бұрын
@@nollypolly my mom always used it (in AZ!) back when it was pretty new and it stayed on no matter what... She once put something she accidentally got it on through the dishwasher with detergent 3 times and it didn't come off. She actually didn't want to use it after that 😂 It's fine if you like Colorstay but not everyone does, I definitely have found better options in terms of finish and how my skin likes it so it may be a better idea for most of us to find a primer that makes any foundation work better 😊 Estee Lauder Doublewear is like a prestige Colorstay if anyone wants a higher end option, though. I think it's harder if you don't want heavy coverage.
@tacocatseven8 ай бұрын
@@nollypollyI know you are trying to be helpful but hyperhidrosis is a medical condition. It’s basically excessive sweating, which is very differently tackled than oily skin. Sweat is mostly water. My friend has it and sweat will literally be pouring down her face which smears her makeup and runs in her eyes, etc. it can become a painful experience when she sweats since the makeup burns her eyes. 😢

I read your comment before I watched the video & my first thought was that someone told Robert he was a "dime" & he didn't know what that meant. Lol .. the comment may have been about our American coin "dime" but I still would rather just think Robert is a "dime" ( perfect 10)... Lol
@LunarEleven8 ай бұрын
I'm American and have a change jar with probably $50 in dimes alone and I still don't know how much they mean by a "dime sized" amount. A dollop that would fit on a dime? Or literally as thin as one too? I've tried both with my face cream, for instance, and one is way too much but the other isn't nearly enough so I don't think they know wtf they mean either, and that's why they don't think too hard about the reference point 😂

@@RobertWelsh Hey Robert! I feel the exact same way. You bring dire, seriously needed, positivity in my life and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you for that! 💖 My entire world is crumbing around me to the point that I no longer have Internet or electricity in my house, and it's going be over a month and a half before we'll be able to afford to get it turned back on. 😢 So watching your videos has really helped me a lot during this time. You make me smile and laugh, and give me the positive vibes I need to keep myself sane with everything I'm going thru. And it really does mean more than I could convey to you..❤ love you and your bother together so much as well! 🥰 Anyways, I just wanted to ask if you've ever tried anything from the brand "Freeman"? Idk if they have it over there, but here it's like super duper cheap (think Essence brand prices or wet n wild)... And they make a gel serum primer that is TO DIE FOR!! 🤩🤩 If you can get your hands on that, you should seriously give it a go. I bought it because it was so cheap, but it also has skincare ingredients, so it's useful in more than one way! So I'm just throwing it out there, if you ever do one of those "full face of cheap/affordable drug store makeup" type videos in the future, you should really really give it a shot!!! I think you'd be impressed honestly! I have the same skin type as you, and lemme tell you, this primer keeps my makeup FLAWLESS for 8+ hrs at a time. So it's definitely worth the try if it's available over there! 😊 Also: I sure would love to see you do a full face of SheGlam makeup with some of their newer products!! Apparently their powder foundations are phenomenal, their pink setting powder that locks your makeup in place so good you can't even smear lipstick on your face! Absolutely nothing will make it budge apparently? 😅 And I've also heard a ton of great reviews on their setting sprays and things like the liquid blushes. It appears they're really coming for the major cosmetic brands! 😝 To add to that list of great products from them, if you ever get the chance, try their super skinny brow pencil with the spoolie on the other end. They actually make it in GRAY which is a huge deal for me because that's more the color I need personally. But that was the best damn brow pencil I've ever used to this day! 😅 So just sending some love, appreciation, and a few recommendations if you ever have the time! 😊

For NYE I used the ELF grip primer (green) and waited for that to somewhat set then I sprayed the ON TIL DAWN and let that dry then applied my makeup and my makeup did not budge at all even in my very oily areas. After 9 hours of dancing, drinking, sitting by a heater, a fire pit, and a jacuzzi my makeup still looked so so good. To top it off it took a few swipes of my makeup remover wipe for it to actually work. Thanks for the tip of using setting spray as primer!

It's evident that a lot of time and effort went into making this video as polished as it is, and it absolutely paid off. Moreover, the content itself is incredibly engaging. Whether it's the fascinating insights you provided, the entertaining anecdotes you shared, or the valuable lessons you imparted, every moment was both informative and entertaining. I found myself completely absorbed in the topic, eagerly hanging onto every word you said. But what truly sets this video apart is your infectious passion and enthusiasm. It's abundantly clear that you absolutely love what you're doing, and that passion is contagious. Overall, this video is an absolute gem that deserves all the praise and recognition it can get. I'd really love if you could do a video on 'summer' makeup but I don't just mean the typical summer makeup tutorial that's thick, sweat proof, long lasting full coverage foundation etc, but instead makeup that's light, skin-like but stays put, like makeup to wear on holiday or to a festival, where it's light but it does the job. For example I've got horrendous dark circles but I also don't want to cake concealer on to sit by the pool y'know? Something that's gona perfect me & wear well without being heavy makeup. I know it's a bit early but I'm trying to get prepared ahead of summer lol! If anybody knows any tutorials like this I'd love to know🙏❤️
