It's easy to think like that when you mainly see just one players pov, and you're probably correct, but it's still a very good habit to spend a lot of time in each game just looking behind you to see where your teammates are, who you have los with, what angles they can protect etc.

You just have to watch where and when hes initiating and follow up on his movements rather than playing off on your own trying to do your own thing. Focus the same targets he goes on as his abilities do a lot of damage and have good displacement to get them out of position

Mostly just follow up on his slams and boops with a tracer, genji, or reaper or something and be aware of when there is a lot of space and numbers advantage.

Look how hard a ball has to work. It's exhausting. Teammates can't stay alive for one second, while you give them the biggest opportunities for picks. Balls uptime is massive and he contests point for such a long time, but only because ball works hard

I feel like ball is the most adversely affected hero by 1-2-2. He isn't designed to make front space but to make mid-space inside of enemy. So, 2-2-2 was OK and 1-3-1 might be the best for ball. The reason why I said 1-3-1 is: Ball works well if the team can work fully indivisual like 4dps in GOATs era. But unfortunately there is no support who can work indivisualy. Btw, monkey (and maybe Dva) also can't make front space but bubble can interrupt damage and healing for front. That's the huge difference imo.

They're not absent, Reinhardt is denying them space to move with ball. When you play the hampter, you often have to move on your own to make space as he doesnt do well fighting into other tanks

@@donovan4222 Rein still had pocket because kiriko and mercy both have abilities to get to him quick. Without a tank its very difficult to kill a rein being healed, especially an aggressive one

@@h3retic583 If 4 team members just walk past Rein there is literally nothing he can do. He’s too slow and can only hit one person at a time. He’s not a dive tank like doom or ball that should be able to cut the supports off from the rest of the team very easily. Most frustrating thing about playing against Rein as a tank is most of your team are usually scared to go near or walk past him.

@@donovan4222 He can charge to catch up to them or even secure a pick, and all he needs is one healer pick to screw up their push. They also had a tracer that can help pinch their backline, so trying to walk past him is a terrible idea

As ball, his preferred hero, Yeatle streamed Overwatch, striving to ascend the ranks. Ball had gotten more enjoyable and potent to play after some buffs. His pile driver had less delay, his mines popped quicker, and he gained a new shield for more durability. Yeatle trusted his ball prowess, but his allies vexed him. They were always misplaced, unhelpful in the brawls, and slain by the foes. The stage was Midtown, New York, and Yeatle's squad was on defense. They had to halt the foes from moving the payload to the finish. The foes had already hit the first mark, and they were nearing the second. The foe Reinhardt, by Metalysis, troubled Yeatle. He always stopped his pile drivers with his barrier, whacked him with his mallet, and rammed him into walls. Yeatle had to dodge his stuns and pins, or he would perish in moments. Yeatle opted to sneak behind the foes, aiming to divert them and make room for his squad. He circled the structures, hiding from the foe Kiriko and Widowmaker. He spotted the foe Mercy and Echo soaring in the sky, aiding and harming his squad. He went for them, hoping to eliminate them or make them flee. He used his hook to swing up to the sky, and triggered his pile driver. He crashed on the Mercy and Echo, hurting and lifting them. He swiftly shot his quad cannons at them, hoping to end them. He killed the Mercy, but the Echo survived with a bit of health. She used her copy to turn into ball, and rolled away. Yeatle pursued her, but he faced the foe Reinhardt. Metalysis had noticed his sneak, and had trailed him. He lifted his barrier, blocking Yeatle's blasts. He then dropped it, and used his flame strike. The fiery bolt hit Yeatle, taking a lot of his health. Yeatle tried to roll off, but Metalysis dashed at him. He grabbed Yeatle in his dash, and pinned him to a wall. Yeatle's health fell to critical, and he activated his adaptive shield. He gained 150 extra HP, and lived the smash. He used his hook to flee from Metalysis, and rolled back to his squad. He saw that his ultimate was set, and he chose to use it. He pressed the button, and deployed his minefield. Many mines spread around the payload, creating a lethal snare for the foe squad. He hoped that his squad would follow up on his ult, and halt the payload. He gazed at his squad, and saw that they were still in the back, not really aiding him. The Kiriko was shooting from far, but missing most of his shots. The Widowmaker was doing the same, but getting countered by the foe Kiriko. The Junkrat was spamming bombs, but not hitting anyone. The Ana was trying to heal him, but she was also getting bothered by the foe Tracer. Yeatle groaned, and decided to take charge of the situation. He rolled back to the payload, and saw that the foe squad was trying to dodge his mines. He used his pile driver again, and crashed on them. He hit the foe Kiriko, Echo, and Reinhardt, lifting them up and into his mines. He heard the pleasing sound of blasts, and saw that he had slain all three of them. He grinned, and said to his stream, "That's how you play ball, lads." He gazed at the payload, and saw that it was halted. He saw that his squad had finally chosen to join him, and halt the payload. He thanked them, and said, "Good work, squad. Let's keep them here." He rolled ahead, and looked for his next prey. He saw the foe Mercy and Tracer, who had respawned and were trying to move the payload. He chose to go for them, and rolled towards them. He used his hook to swing around a bend, and triggered his pile driver. He crashed on them, and blasted his quad cannons. He killed the Mercy, and hurt the Tracer. The Tracer blinked off, and tried to recall, but Yeatle was quicker, and he trailed her. He blasted his quad cannons again, and killed the Tracer. He heard the sound of triumph, and saw that his squad had won the match. He cheered, and said to his stream, "We did it, lads. We won. GG, well done." He gazed at the end-game screen, and saw that he had gotten the play of the match. He watched the replay, and saw his triple kill with his minefield. He grinned, and said, "That was a sweet play, if I do say so myself. I think I deserve some likes for that." He gazed at his chat, and saw that his viewers were admiring him. They were sending him likes, donations, and praises. He thanked them, and said, "You guys are amazing. Thank you for watching and backing me. I appreciate it." He gazed at his rank, and saw that he had climbed a few points. He was near to reaching the top 500. He said, "Well, that was a good match. I think I'm going to end the stream here. I hope you guys liked it. I'll be back tomorrow with more Overwatch. Until then, stay amazing, and have a good night." He ended the stream, and closed the match. He felt happy and content. He had played well, and had fun. He had amused his viewers, and had earned some cash. He had shown the world how to play ball, and had proven his prowess. He was Yeatle, the best ball player in the world.

i think im too low of a rank to understand how ball is more useful than literally any other tank in the entire game. i get that he is creating caos and booping ppl ocasionally but he is not confirming kills and the space he creates is meaningless cause his team is just getting ran over in constast 4v5 cause ball is just going around the map. can someone pls enlighten me cause i genuinely dont underatand it at all.
