@@slandergames9494 grapple wall at head height ish, go to wall with fire, let go of movement keys as you hit the wall. when you bounce off press s (or spin mouse and press w) then let go of grapple right as it is at full extension :)))

So happy ball is back. I agree about the piledriver change being the biggest, after playing for years with ten seconds it feels like a huge difference. Also, I think you're right about the meta heroes being less annoying for ball to go up against. Ramattra and Rein, for instance, are really good matchups for ball. I'm just glad I get to play him again. I know people don't like the buffs but I really want them to stick. Ball is much better for the game than Orisa or Roadhog, I think.

@quriguess He needs to be as tanky as he is. And it's kind of the point of the game to counter pick him. unlike roadhog with kiriko, he doesn't have an easy answer to counters except playing really well.

An oppressive dive tank meta is always gonna be received worse than a barrier tank meta. People will always complain about the opposition, it’s just that a diving character draws more heat from the community than most characters.

@quriguess I getchu, I can see that he's annoying with how easy it is to kill supports playing him lol. But I think the general panic around his changes is a little short sighted, because he has more counters in every role than most heroes do. For support you can pick lucio, kiriko, ana, or brig, for tank you can pick orisa hog or even doom or queen if you play to cc him. For dps you have reaper, junkrat, sombra and mei. I get that hard counters are annoying, I agree, I hate playing against anti tank heroes when I'm playing tank, but they're kind of a core part of the game and with ball he has so many I really think people just need to learn them and how to counter ball in general. And yes, playing orisa because hog is strong, for example, is never healthy for the game, but playing heroes with cc against dive heroes or hitscan against pharah echo has always been a thing. I basically just think people need to play and get used to buffed ball before they start making judgements about how op he is. Edit: now that I've played him some I think you may be right about the hp or survivability change. Not a lot, just so that he doesn't escape literally everything in the game. Maybe make it so that his shields max out at 1000 hp total and his base health is reduced to 650.

Aight hear me out, the shield hp is a really good quality of life change so you don’t run around looking for health packs for half the team fight. And second, if you mine the enemy when they’re out of position, that half a second is just the thing he needs man. Also ball is the first hero to have shields and armor. If you haven’t noticed already.

The 2 second CD reduction is huge and I love it, but I really like the shield being added. The in-and- out style of ball meant you spent a lot of time away from your healers and would always be healed more from kits. The shield supplementing your more independent style and healing needs is awesome

I like sombra vs wrecking ball because both require hours to be decent doesn’t feel like a cheap counter to either to me, rather balanced matchup I play sombra on the side and that 0.5 really helped out I think Ball skill ceiling is still high, it’s too easy to shut down average ones still

the buffs are very nice but i still think they should increase the damage on his guns OR speed up his reload animation

I think the damage is fine because he's supposed to get value more from his abilities. Which keeps his skill ceiling high and emphasizes how you need to really hit those abilities if you want to get value. Fire boop damage, actually hit pile driver, shoot a bit, melee or go back into rolling them over. I do think alot of the times enemies will be a one health and u not be able to finish them even after doing all that but instead of damage I'd say give him more bullets. Half the time you run out while you're shooting the guy you just put that work into.
